This is a fine grain not unlike granulated sugar, and can be used in just the same way. One spoonful does not have quite the same intense sweetness of granulated sugar but after a very short while I began to find ordinary sugar too sweet when I tried it, and now prefer this. I have experimented and used it in baking as well as sprinkling it on cereal etc and found it very versatile. When using it is like a cross between white and brown sugar, so when baking a sponge for instance, it does give a slight caramelised look rather than the pure white of ordinary sugar. As a type 2 diabetic I tried this to help lower the amount of GI in my diet, and it seems to work, but in view of recent news reports about the damage granulated sugar is causing to the population this would be good for anyone to use.

Good product, great alternative to sugar.

I buy this now on subscribe and save to use on my porridge every morning instead of sugar. It is a perfect replacement and much more healthy.

good product but very expensive

Fantastic sugar alternative with a lovely caramel smell. Pricey compared to sugar but much more healthy for my husband who has type 2 diabetes. Not easily available in stores so glad that Amazon have it for sale.

As this is not easy to get hold of, I am very appreciative in obtaining it. However, the price is not outstanding, by any means. Do they have a monotony on this product?

I've used this product for some time now and find it's a good substitute for sugar. I feel that I'm getting the benefits of sweetness without the effects of sugar!

the GI is relatively low when I check after consuming my coffee with this sweetener. Hope all the future batches remain the same.
