Philips Bodygroom TT2000/43 Replacement Blade

Used this trimmer for many years, these heads are not cheap but last a long time and offer the same results as the other Philips trimmer but work out cheaper overall due to duration of use.

---------------OPINION---------------Ok so we all know what the Philips Bodygroom is or else we wouldn't be here. Right now like me you probably may be feeling a bit reluctant to buy a new shaving foil head and rightly so. All these negative reviews on such a simple little purchase, no wonder you're reading the reviews! I'll be mentioning why this is ostensibly the case below.-----------------------------WHY PURCHASE?-----------------------------You'd expect after paying £60+ pounds (approx depending on model and where purchased) that this shaver would last you a fair amount of time.In regards to this It does and it doesn't.Firstly the actual variable trimmer head lasts. No need to replace anything here and I've noticed 0 change in effectiveness of this portion of the device.Unfortunately after about 3-4 months of moderate usage (varies on how often its used) I noticed a considerable decline in the closeness and smoothness of the shaving foil. It came to the point where it would leave noticeable stubby hairs which increased in length as time went on. Once where it shaved right to the skin it progressively declined to a very poor quality and unsatisfying shave requiring a razor to finish it's job. It also got into the habit of nipping the skin and making a simple clean shave into a dodgey chore.So overall I have to say the new shaving foil WAS necessary despite the unreasonable pricing.--------------PRICING--------------I personally find this expensive for what youre getting and the only excuse I'll make for then pricing it at this point is the fact it consists of moving parts!Realistically think of it as how you need to buy normal razors for facial shaving and it isn't all that annoying of a purchase. They dull and you need a new one, essentialy the same thing here.Purchasing in this mindset can dull the feeling of being cheated into investing more into your shaver just that tiny bit more! (Or not I'm a penny pincher and am pretty annoyed I have to spend extra. After already buying the device you'd think theyd include at least a single spare head or not charge so much!)--------------------------------POTENTIAL ISSUES--------------------------------I've had none personally but from reading other reviews I can see some issues ahead and will update if I encounter any.Those who are apprehensive about this purchase from other negative reviews(as I too was) should try not to be.The main complaints by other customers seem to be quality of the new head or getting a false/generic unbranded head.This is avoidable by ensuring you buy from the Amazon fulfilled seller(other sellers should be fine but I went with Amazon to be 100%). Alternatively these unbranded heads could be genuine Philips replacements but simply stripped of their original packaging for shipping reasons.In relation to head quality the foil performs the same as the first time I used my Bodygroom device.The only noticeable difference is the foil's head colour, which is black VS the original silver all over head which came with the device.---------------VERDICT---------------All in all a great little buy (although a bit expensive for what it is) which ensures your Philips Bodygroom stays in tip top shape for keeping away that Chewbacca look!HOWEVER I must admit, the new head still suffers the fatal flaw of falling out every few minutes which is a major pain in the butt... No improvement here guys!

Ordered this to keep as a spare. Ideal for shaving the gentleman department without nicks n cuts, and cheaper than other well known advertised brand.
