Excellent for education young children

Gave this to the local primary school to see what they said about it. they thought it was a great idea and helped them with their teaching. It covers off what's needed in a nice enjoyable way. Cant get higher praise than from teacher of the subject.

I got this Learning Resources Skill Builders Phonics & Reading Set to assist my 6-year-old autistic son in overcoming his struggles with reading. The set includes a letter grid, 26 letter cobblers, 50 double-sided 100-word recognizable cards on a ring, 30 double-sided image and legend cards, 4 soft foam dice, 10 worksheets, and an activity guide. My son's short attention span requires activities to be simple and concise, and this set has been a positive addition to our learning routine. He particularly enjoys reading the double-sided cards; the short sentences paired with relatable pictures on the reverse side make the learning experience engaging for him. The incorporation of soft foam dices adds an element of fun to the learning process, even if we're not always forming words just yet. While the set has proven beneficial, there are a few areas I believe could be improved. The quality of the worksheets leaves something to be desired; thicker paper and a larger size would enhance their durability and usability. Additionally, bundling the worksheets together like a book might be more practical than having separate sheets. Furthermore, I find that the practice material for each topic is somewhat limited; for example, only one double-sided sheet is provided for "Time to Rhyme" and "Trace & Write Sight Words," which I feel may not be sufficient for effective learning. The price point of £23.50 (at the time of writing), does seem a bit high considering the perceived limitations. While the set offers valuable tools, the cost might be more justified with improvements in worksheet quality, quantity, and presentation. All in all, this Phonics & Reading Set has been a positive aid in my son's learning journey, but there is room for enhancement, particularly in the worksheet department. Despite these considerations, the set has proven valuable in making learning enjoyable for my son, and with a few adjustments, it could become an even more effective tool for parents and educators alike.

Our daughter is 5yrs old and has really enjoyed using these to learn words and sounds. They are well made, durable and are printed clearly. Excellent quality comprehensive phonics/reading activity set for £24.50. Verdict: Recommended.

Easy to use, great for using as teaching aids for children at home. Fun and bright colours used. Item arrived very well packed, so excellent start, perfect size and more important top quality looks and feels great , for the price can’t fault it, 10 out of 10 from me very happy indeed and would purchase again 👍

This is a good set to practice phonics and words with your child. Brings some fun into learning. Dices to roll to practice sounds and make words. Picture cards to work with and letter tiles to make up words. A great way to learn

This educational product is a good quality item. There are quite a lot of activities in this package for your kids. This set is quite well designed and colourful for the kids. Recommended

I was a bit wary of this upon ordering, as I’d read some American wording in the listing, but can confirm that this is the UK version of this set. On arrival, the box felt light and quite empty. Inside are sets of cards, 4 foam dice and half a dozen worksheets. The cards are for the most part thick and sturdy, with a laminated finish. The dice are a dense foam, so safe but also good quality. The worksheets do sadly let the set down a bit. I like the worksheets - they take me back to my own primary school days - but they just look a bit pitiful in the box. A few more worksheets would be nice - perhaps even presented in a wallet or something to keep them together. Overall it’s a nice set, with enough variety to keep learning sessions short but fun. I do feel that the current price of £23.50 is a little high for what it is.
