Would you say this rail is strong? We want it to put coats & other winter clothes on

Yes it is strong, being oval on cross section, this rail supports my heavy suits and full length winter coats.

Would this be okay to attach to the bare wall?

Yes, I agree with the comment dated 17 January. You will need better screws and use good wall plugs. Good value items and be sure to cut to size so not loose in the cup holders brackets. FEH

If wardrobe rail is to long can it cut in half and can you purchase more than one pair of hooks and screws

Yes you can cut to size but will have to contact supplier about purchasing more hook and screws

I need a rail of 81.5cm will this fit without needing to be cut?

No it will need to be cut. We had to cut ours to fit a non standard cavity in the wardrobe, I suggest you find a good carpenter, ours charged £10 to cut and fit.
