The fit is slightly larger ,nice and light weight and very waterproof! Not huge logos. Ideal!

A very simple lightweight jacket but well made.

So far so good, no leakage on the seams as i've had with other lightweight waterproofs, fit is good but prob loses one star as slightly short in the body, but looks smart and so far waterproof

Exceptional. Better than expected. I've had this in my basket for months... Price dropped to where I couldn't ignore it and it was on my back in less than 24 hrs. I object to plastic in every way but I challenge anyone to make me a (NT) gardening waterproof coat out of carbon based material. I will wear and repair like I did the last one and hope this lasts me till I die. I'll leave it to my grandchildren as carbon offset.Very pleased. Bought a medium so it will go over what I'm working in and also not restrict movement. It's perfect for what I want. Can't comment on permeability yet... Will update.UPDATEIts waterproof. Got hit by climate today. Only upset no time to save my dreads. Coat behaved perfectly. Very happy.

Quality, warm, nice style

Very impressed by this Seven J jacket! I always come back to Helly Hansen every time I look at other brands. They just seem to have one of the best balance of quality & features for the price on so many jackets they sell. This is my 5th HH jacket, and I wanted this one in rotation for spring time and walking mainly. I mainly wear the hooded Crew Jacket 2.0 as my daily driver jacket, which is honestly pretty similar to this except it has a bit better zippers and a bit more insulation around the shoulder/neck areas which adds warmth (and you can stow the hood away), and it also has a front and interior storage with zippers which is very convenient.But, the outer shell material is almost the exact same on both jackets (Helly Tech). Both very flexible, rain resistant and wind proof. The quality is great. The Seven J does have an interior pocket, but no zipper, it's velcro. Still very usable to hold a wallet or your phone, just not quite as nice as the Crew Jacket having the zipper which is a bit more secure, but the Crew 2.0 does cost 2x more than this jacket.In terms of warmth, this one is not as warm as the Crew Jacket 2.0, due to less insulation, and the collar on the Crew 2.0 also has a fleece material which is nice on colder days. It's overall a bit warmer, especially against wind. But, this one is still very good. I think you could quite easily layer it for temps below 0 if needed. Anything less than -10C I would probably opt for a heavier jacket. This one to me is ideal 0-15C or so. Crew Jacket 2.0 I would say is around -5C to 15C. Again, this would be assuming you're wearing a t-shirt or possibly t-shirt + other shirt, depending on your preference or activity level, etc. You could easily wear a sweater underneath for colder temps or days, lots of space in each jacket.Both jackets have YKK zippers, but as mentioned the Crew 2.0 does have the smoother and higher quality YKK which is also anti-corrosive (salt water, etc). But I don't see the YKK zipper on this Seven J a 'downgrade', it works very well so far just like my other HH jackets, and I've never had one fail on me so far, so I trust it.What I appreciate on this jacket a lot is the full mesh material around the whole jacket except for the arms, which are lined. This to me is perfect for staying cooler on rainy days or lower temps in spring, especially when walking. Again it's very flexible and easy to maneuver. I wear a Mens medium, I'm 6'1 and 175-180 pounds and it fits perfect. It's pretty relaxed in the shoulders, and you can still adjust the waist area a bit to be looser or tighter. So to me no need to size up or anything, fits just like my other HH jackets pretty much.I got the 596 Navy color. It looks great. Compared to my 597 Navy jacket, it's a bit more blue and not as dark as the 597. It's very subtle, but different enough to be noticeable. I love both shades of navy, they work well with all my outfits.So all in all, I can't think of a better spring/rain jacket at this price. For $100 CAD, I couldn't find anything better. Highly recommended overall.

Excellent fit and design. I live on the wet coast so I wear it a lot. I love the bright orange colour; I can freelance as a human pylon. If fact, my part time work imitating a pylon has been so successful, I’m considering making the leap and changing careers. Road construction is always happening somewhere. It can be dangerous work but rewarding, ultimately.

I wanted to get my boyfriend a nice, durable spring/summer jacket. I already own a Helly Hansen jacket so I knew how great their products are, I wanted him to share the greatness of Helly. He loves the style, hood and waterproof protection. I wanted to get him the dark green because he loves that colour. You can’t go wrong with Helly Hansen, you’ll have their pieces forever.Unfortunately when I ordered the jacket something happened because it took two months to arrive. It was for his birthday and it was severely late. It was a disappointment, but he loved it so it was worth it.

Ok, so this is an incredible jacket! For less than $100, this coat gives you the protection from the elements, craftsmanship and quality of Helly Hansen, and the style that everyone envies.I’m anxious for a rainy evening so I can rock this Dope AF HH!
