I am a big fan of Pixiwoo and was thrilled to get their debut book! The information is so thorough and in-depth that it educates but it's also light so it remains an enjoyable read. As well as this, the photographs are beautiful and the make-up looks themselves are striking and inspiring. The free app/interactive element brings the book to life and it's almost like you have Sam and Nic sat next to you giving you personalised advice. It is the perfect book to refer back to and can be shared amongst the whole family from teens to more mature ladies. As well as the informative nature of Face, the quality and design also makes it the perfect coffee table book. All the time and effort put into this book is admirable, and the hardwork of Pixiwoo has paid off. Sam and Nic are an inspiration and I can't wait to follow the rest of their journey.

What can I say, it's all I expected and more from the amazing sisters that are Pixiwoo! Full of AMAZING colourful photos of stunning makeup. Page after page of tips and tricks, written just how Sam and Nic speak, so if you are already a fan of their YouTube channel, and like how real they are, and how easy they make things, then you will ADORE this book!! Looks great on any bookshelf or coffee table, and a book you can just pick up and flick through at your leisure, or as I do, keep it on my bed side table and read it in bed with a cuppa at bedtime 😊 With the amazing free app that accompanies this book, you can find tutorials and videos easily, just brilliant!!! I don't usually leave reviews just because I can't be bothered to be honest :D This book is AMAZING! This is the bible of make-up for me ( I know it sounds funny) The most amazing thing is that it comes with an app full of amazing video content as well. I've learned so much more than I did before reading it. It's so beautifully made with the colours and the amazing quality of the pictures. I can see why Nic 7 Sam took longer to make it. It's absolutely fabulous. There are sections on skin care, makeup base, eye looks, tools. You know the stuff that every makeup book has but there is so much information that I never expected to get in this book. I got introduced to Caroline Hirons thanks to this book. She's an amazing skincare expert for those of you wondering. Yeah, great investment.

This is a nice "back to basics" makeup book. I really like the tips they give and the videos with the app are a useful add on. I was hoping they would take it a bit further and have some suggestions for being super creative with makeup looks, eye makeup etc (for those of us who like makeup, but aren't able to go to makeup school). I love their videos and they are absolutely lovely people - I can hear their personality come out in how they've written it. They have a lot of helpful suggestions about face shape and are keen to help you look like the best version of yourself (not whatever the trend is on instagram or the red carpet) - I like that! The only thing I would change about the book is the suggestion to only use exfoliators that have plastic beads in them instead of natural ones. These little plastic beads are an environmental disaster - please don't use them :-) But apart from that, all the info is great!

What a fabulous book. I have recently returned to college part time to study Media Makeup, with me being a part time student that means I have to do a lot of the theory work at home. I must say this book has taught me so much already and I'm not even half way through it yet. 100% going to recommend it to everyone in my class. Adore it!!! The information is not written in a conplex way, it's nice and chatty, easy to follow and understand for people who are not in the industry already. If you're just passionate about makeup, in the industry or an absolute novice with makeup then this book is for you. The tutorials in the app are a real bonus. I just can't sing this books praises enough. BUY ITTTTTTT!! And thanks Pixiwoo for the fabulous book, I will be passing my course with flying colours now all thanks to you.

It's okay. There are some good tips in here if you're a complete beginner, but if you're a beauty enthusiast you'll have heard it all before through your own research. The pictures are gorgeous, but the writing is where the book let me down in a big way - none of the sentences seemed to flow, some parts made no sense whatsoever. If you've read Pixiwoo's blog before, you'll already know that the writing isn't great and doesn't live up to the appeal of their videos. This is an aesthetically pleasing book for sure, and quite fun to flick through but don't be expecting any never-before-seen advice or even syntax.

Girlfriend thinks this is great. I'm going to buy her the DVD with free make-up brush to go with it next month when it's released. She works for a make-up brand and is finishing a degree in make-up artistry and she's currently lapping up all the inspiration possible on her way to a career in the industry. I had a peek through the book myself and to my surprise I found it rather intriguing. There are some gorgeous full page photos supplemented by various facts and hints regarding the best applications for the procedures involved in making up a face. I learned that I should cleanse my face first, then tone and then moisturise prior to putting on my make-up. That said, I doubt I'll be doing that anytime soon.

I found the girls of Pixiwoo a little over 5 years ago, and I haven't stopped watching them since. Their tutorials are fabulously balanced with their professional knowledge and their simple and straight forward manner. I always feel as though I am sitting across the table from a favorite girlfriend learning how to do a new make up look. This book is full of needed information (I will learn to do my brows, I swear it!), and sounds just like they do in their videos, with a tone that is warm, friendly, and really caring that I know how to look my best! The photos are fabulous and the information is timeless. Well done girls!!!

Beautiful book, tons of information, great pictures. When reading you definately feel that you are having a lovely chat with Sam and Nic. Love it!

Sono appassionata di trucco da anni e ho letto (e posseggo) diversi libri sull'argomento. A livello di contenuti lo definirei abbastanza banale per un esperto, piacevole e abbastanza utile per chi invece è alla prime armi. Interessanti alcuni intermezzi autobiografici delle due autrici, che illustrano meglio l'esperienza lavorativa che hanno potuto accumulare negli anni. Molto carina e innovativa l'idea di mettere a disposizione dei contenuti multimediali tramite una app gratuita che permette di collegare a determinate pagine del libro alcuni video registrati ad hoc (naturalmente in inglese) che integrano i contenuti del libro stesso e richiamano fortemente il background delle due vlogger britanniche. Per l'edizione Kindle questi contenuti sono più difficilmente fruibili, perché i video partono solo se si inquadrano le pagine ad hoc con la telecamera del telefonino. Questo significa che per vedere il materiale extra dovete per forza di cose leggere il libro con un dispositivo diverso dal vostro telefonino. Una piccola scocciatura, ma comunque superabile.

I love makeup and it is always hard to really know when you are doing a good job. This book is a handbook that, if paired with a mirror and a lot of patience you can actually learn and have a master class on makeup from the confort of your own home.
