PHILIPSAVENT Colic Feeding Bottle (125 ml/4oz)

Love Avent bottles & teats. Used them with all of my children & even those I nannied for. However, do not buy varieble teats - they are useless as they leak at the ring of the bottle. Avent doesn't seem to admit this can happen. Bottles on the other hand are fine, they come with number 1 teat and when I changed them for number 2, everything worked perfectly.

I love Avery but these bottles were awful I purchased them for my new born as there small bottles and to my horror the milk was pouring out and nearly choked my baby. I then discovered they have the number 2 teat on which is too fast for a new born and really stupid if you ask me. So I had to then also purchase teat 1 which has now solved the issue. But not impressed with this purchase.

I have always used avent and they have been great for for my first two children however I found that for my third child the teat flow was a little too fast for her (although not as fast as tommee tippee - that was just ridiculous!) Other than the issue with the flow the bottles are great. They are durable and the milk does cool down quickly which is great for a hungry baby but if you have a slow drinker you'll find it goes cold half way through. If you find your struggling with the flow aswell i would recommend MAM teats they suited my daughter better.

The box came quite tatty, dusty and scuffed, which isn't what you want for baby bottles. The bottles are pretty good, you do need to double check the teat is really pulled in place or they will leak when using, you can't really tell at a glance. The lids are very secure, which is good for traveling but quite annoying when you need to open one with one hand, or if you are trying to separate them with damp hands when cleaning. They could do with a button/pressure point to make that a bit easier

Switched from these bottles when my daughter was two weeks old as they gave her colic. They were used for breast milk and formula but she didn’t get on with them at all. Purchased some NUK bottles instead and didn’t have any more problems. They were also hard to clean and the lid was hard to get off.

This product is , in my opinion,not suitable for newborns. It flows really fast, my newborn was not quick enough to swallow and he was sick every-time I fed him from this bottles so I had to stop. Maybe for older babies it is ok but not for very small ones. Not able to return as I already used the bottles.

Very disappointed with this buy. I ordered 2 sets (6 bottles). Of the 6 bottles, only one looks genuine (3rd on the right in the attached picture). Only one is made out of clear material which doesn't cloud even after washing. All others have a cloudy appearance. Also on the one genuine bottle, the brand 'Phillips' is printed at the bottom, whereas on 5 'Philips' is listed on the top. Makes it seem that 5 of the six bottles are not genuine.I have used Avent bottles earlier for my last baby a few years back. I never came across such an issue then. I had also written to the seller, but didn't get any response. Don't recommend this buy.

Ordered on behalf of my sister for my nephew. I always used Avent bottles and my sister used them on my recommendation! These arrived really quickly and well packaged
