Should not be a problem as C Max depending on your model will be around 1350kg kerb weight (check your manual or the data plate) plus any load carried. Jacking at the correct points will only raise a single wheel, so you're only lifting a quarter of the vehicle weight at any time.

It should be. You can lift the car via the jack from any close solid mounting point to the wheel to be removed.

Will the head fit into the lifting point on BMW's?

depends on the age of the car, would not want to use it on the newer models.

Why is Ford quoted?? Or is it universal

The swivelled top of the jack sits into a recessed notch on Ford cars underside framework. These are lifting points at each corner designed for using this jack to lift the car up and remove a particular wheel. I have also used it on other cars without a problem.
