I'm using this on a Fire TV 4K stick to extend the (ridiculously low) storage. Sadly a lot of storage hungry apps can't actually be moved to external storage, but that's not the fault of this adapter! It works, the USB port on the stick is rated to USB 2.0 speeds as far as I know, so the rating is right for the job. There is a way of getting the Fire TV stick to treat an external USB drive as internal storage to make better use of space, but it's not that simple and I haven't tried it yet.

I have a Fire Stick 4K and wanted to be able to use a USB memory stick with it so I can view my own videos, play a bunch of MP3's or view images etc. This cable makes it happen.1. Turn off the Fire Stick, unplug the power supply cable from the Fire Stick's micro USB port.2. Plug this cable's male micro USB plug into the Fire Stick's micro USB port, where the power cable was.3. Plug the Fire Stick's power supply cable into the female micro USB port on this cable.4. Plug your USB stick into this cables female USB A port.5. Fire up the Fire Stick, go to the apps library and in the Entertainment section find and install VLC Player for Fire Stick.6. Happy viewing!I've read you can also use it for keyboards and mice etc. For best results for all USB devices, use the Fire Stick's power supply plugged into the mains rather than getting power from a TV USB port etc.

Used on my firestick to load roms for emulators. After a new firestick update this is now not possible to select from the dashboard. Still can be used as storage for apps.

Brilliant OTG cable, I use one on both my Firesticks and my Onn box, I've been using these for a couple of years now, they haven't let me down once, I use this with the UGreen USB Ethernet hub as well. These are definitely very well made better than some cheaper ones I brought from on here.

I bought this to allow me to connect a USB wireless mouse to my tablet at the same time as charging the tablet. Having looked at the details on a number of similar products, it looked as if this one might allow this. I was wrong. The cordless mouse works fine but the tablet does not charge when connected with a USB charger - or at least it does for about 15s and then stops. I don't understand why it seems so difficult to produce a lead that connects the USB device and allows the tablet to charge at the same time. In all other respects, it is a good product and I am sure it does power the USB wireless dongle that is plugged into it but if I'm using the tablet for some time with the mouse, I need it to keep the tablet charged as well. To be fair, some reviews pointed to this not being possible with this lead but I thought that it was worth a try for the price.

If you’ve a fire stick then this is a must buy with it,your really not using your fire stick properly with out this addition,that’s what the experts said and I got one and they were right, it upgraded my storage to 64 Gb as the 4 k fire stick comes with 8 gb but uses 4 of that to get it up and running so not much you can do with 4 gigabyte left,buy this pop on a usb pen and your away. Loads online to tutorial how to do it if you can’t figure it out but it’s childish easy. And it’s only a FEW QUID.
