Learn As You Play Alto Saxophone (repackaged edition with CD) - Learn as you play series - for saxophone (BH 12469)

This book was recommended by my teacher and has assisted me in beginning to learn to read music.

I brought this as an absolute novice when it came to playing either a sax or an instrument, it was recommended to my as a good beginners guide, which it is!The lessons are progressive, yet easy to understand and follow. For me the biggest plus has been that the book does not make assumptions of prior knowledge.My one and only gripe is that I believe the accompanying CD could be better. I was recommended this book and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Great resource combined with a good teacher. The cd of backing tracks however is not as good as it could be.

Too early for me to give a candid opinion as yet. However, this book would not teach me how to play saxophone alone. I now have a tutor. but still use this book.

I bought this on the recommendation of my sax teacher and I am enjoying playing the pieces. We have found one or two notation errors. These might cause confusion to a beginner working alone. The exercises for alternative Bb and F# fingerlings are good. Good value for money.

Good practical except sizes. The backing tracks, by packed on a CD, are useful. The demo tracks however, can be played via the internet, are in my option essential and should be delivered on a CD together, or easily be downloaded, with the book.

The book arrived in good condition and on time. It is very informative, but I am making good progress 👍🏽
