If your valves and seats are in good condition you can just use the fine on its own. Otherwise start with coarse. Lap the valves in carefully, turning the valve in its seat as you work, until there is an unbroken line of matt grey running the entire circumference of both valve and seat. I check for leaks by filling the head's combustion chamber with paraffin and leaving overnight.

Tubs of paste were about 1/3 full as others have mentioned although it is still more than enough to do a valve job. The suction on the tool wasn't the best but with patience and clean valve faces it wasn't too bad. Overall the engine is now up and running perfectly so they did the job for a good price.

Very easy to use

Great value and easy to use. Heavy paste to remove pitting (1 min grinding) then fine paste to polish up ( another minute). Superb.

Will work well with a completely flat valve head.

I imagine this will work well with a completely flat valve head, however my Honda valves have a slot in them meaning the sucker kept losing suction. Eventually I made my own tool with a piece of dowel and a 1p piece glued into the end of it. This fits into the slot and doesn’t lose grip. The paste itself worked fine, and I will keep the tool for the next engine I work on which hopefully will have flat valve heads.
