USB C to USB 3.0 Adapter

I bought this adapter to enable me to use my USB C charger with a USB A to USB C cable and so far, it has worked very well. I bought this USB-C OTG adapter for a specific reason: I wanted to be able to use the adapter without removing my phone from its case. Most other USB-C adapters have their USB-C connector flush with the adapter. So you can't use them with your phone if your phone is still in its case, because the port will be recessed and the adapter won't reach. This adapter works well. When I plugged it into my phone (still in its case), the phone immediately recognized both devices I tried with it (a USB thumb drive and a K-DCAN connector). So the OTG works. I'm happy.

I have been using another (well-reviewed and seemingly well-manufactured) brand of USB-C to USB-A adapters for a couple of years and for the most part, they’ve served me well. Where I’ve noticed issues with the other brand of USB-C to USB-A adapter is when I attach a Logitech Unifying receiver dongle (which is paired with a high-end Logitech mouse) to the adapter and then plug it into my computer’s USB-C port: the cursor sometimes feels like it’s stuttering or halting ever so slightly when I’m moving my mouse, and this detracts from me getting precise control from my mouse. For a variety of reasons, I suspect this issue is caused by radio signal interference problems with how the other brand of USB-C to USB-A adapter may not be adequately shielded in the inside of the adapter. Adequate shielding would (should?) prevent interference issues with the Logitech Unifying receiver. I just attached my Logitech Unifying receiver into the UGREEN USB-C to USB-A adapter and plugged the adapter into my computer and there is no longer any hint of the cursor feeling like it’s stuttering or halting ever so slightly. Problem seems to be solved; time will tell. Thank you, UGREEN, for making/sourcing a well-engineered and well-manufactured USB-C to USB-A adapter, at a reasonable price!

It does what it is supposed to do. It is not durable enough to last forever, especially if you plug in and out frequently or travel hard, but it will do its job reliably for a few years and is the best combination of small size, light weight, reliable function and low price I have tried.

Simple to use, good fit and they work!

I've had a few brands of adapters like this and they're all very similar so there's not much you can do to make a simple adapter unique or special. These are priced perfectly, built well (unlike some cheaper ones I had where the blue plastic inside the USB-A port would scrape off when mating with connectors), and perform as they're rated to! Like all the other UGREEN stuff I've used before these have been totally fine with no issues. If you have a modern computer that either lacks USB-A entirely or just need some more and have open USB-C ports, these are great! They also have a slight step off design that might be helpful if you want to use them with a phone or tablet in a case that has material surrounding the USB-C port.

Moderne Notebooks, Tablets und Smartphones setzen zunehmend auf USB-C, während viele vorhandene USB-Geräte weiterhin klassische USB-A-Stecker verwenden. Genau hier schafft ein kompakter Adapter eine einfache Lösung. Besonders interessant finde ich die angegebene Datenrate von bis zu 10 Gbit/s. Damit ist der Adapter nicht nur für einfache Maus- oder Tastaturanschlüsse gedacht, sondern kann auch bei schnellen Speichermedien sinnvoll sein. Voraussetzung ist natürlich, dass sowohl Ausgangsgerät als auch angeschlossenes Laufwerk die entsprechende Geschwindigkeit unterstützen. Das Gehäuse wirkt kompakt und robust. Bei Adaptern bevorzuge ich kurze feste Modelle gegenüber zusätzlichen Kabeln, wenn nur eine Schnittstelle umgesetzt werden muss. Sie nehmen kaum Platz ein und passen problemlos in eine Notebooktasche. UGREEN hat sich außerdem im Bereich Kabel und Adapter einen recht guten Ruf aufgebaut. Bei solchen Produkten ist für mich besonders wichtig, dass Stecker nicht wackeln und das Gehäuse nach häufigem Ein- und Ausstecken stabil bleibt. Ein Punkt, den man beachten sollte: Ein Adapter kann nicht automatisch jede Funktion einer Schnittstelle übertragen. Je nach Anwendung können beispielsweise Videoausgabe, Laden oder spezielle Protokolle zusätzliche Anforderungen haben. Deshalb sollte man vor dem Kauf genau prüfen, wofür der Adapter vorgesehen ist. Für normale Datenübertragung und den Anschluss klassischer USB-Geräte ist das Konzept jedoch hervorragend. Insgesamt fünf Sterne. Klein, günstig, leicht mitzunehmen und sehr nützlich, wenn alte und neue USB-Standards zusammentreffen. Gerade in einer Technik- oder Notebooktasche gehört für mich mindestens ein solcher Adapter zur Grundausstattung.

For the price, these adapters are an absolute bargain. You get two in the pack, and they feel much better made than I expected. The build quality is solid and they look like they’ll last, although only time will tell. I bought them to use with my ROG Xbox Ally X and Razer Raiju V3 Pro controller, and they’ve worked perfectly from day one. I’ve experienced no connection issues, no input lag, and everything just works as it should. There’s not much more you can ask for from a simple adapter. Great quality, excellent value for money, and I’d happily recommend them.

Handy for plugging older USB drives straight into a USB C port, no lag or dropouts during transfer. 10Gbps rating actually holds up, files copy over quick. Aluminium build feels solid, doesn't feel like it'll snap off like cheaper plastic ones. Small enough to keep on the keyring for on the go use. Good little accessory to have on hand.
