Small Person Approved
I am a small female and although my heart is willing to help my partner with home improvement projects, sometimes I am just not physically up to the task—especially when it comes to lifting and holding heavy things for extended periods of time. I also need my own strong stand-in when working around the house or in the garden by myself. I bought two of these jacks and they have proven to be strong, reliable, and very easy to use. I was hesitant to splurge when I saw so many cheaper versions of this tool, but the precision lifting/lowering and overall quality appear to be make this one worth the price.

Sturdy and useful
I picked this one over cheaper similar devices, based on other reviews. Important to notice that this one is really built solidly. Over a few past months it has been already many times helpful to lift just a tad a heavy piece of furniture. And it was great in partially lifting heavy doors to help in lubricating the hinges.

Fantastic Little Jack
This is a fantastic piece of equipment. My son used his to help put up new cupboards in the kitchen and for numerous other things during the remodeling of his house. He brought it over the other day to help us put a set of wheels under a very heavy combo washer/dryer. It worked so well and made the job so easy I purchased one of these jacks for my husband. The number of uses this can help with is innumerable.

Precision lowering
This item is significantly more expensive than the “knock-offs” but, you do get what you pay for in this case. I tried the knock-off first and the difference in build quality is very evident at first look. The “big” difference is that the Viking Arm has a highly precise “lowering” button which the others don’t have. When I tried the knock-off without the lowering button, it released and dropped immediately. It was a little scary. The Viking Arm’s lower button gently lowers the item in small controlled steps! Perfect for alignment of heavy items and much safer. After using them both, the Viking Arm’s price/value is clearly worth it!

Very well made
Not a single plastic part that I can see. Extremely well made and works smoothly.

Quality is superb!
Out of the box this tool is beefy and well made. Does it lift? You betcha! I used to pull an iron stake from the ground that would have normally not been possible to pull out without a jack. I’ve got a saw in my shop that weighs about 150 lbs and is difficult to lift. These lifted it like it was a feather. The handle squeezing action is very smooth and it’s incredible the torque created by a gentle squeeze. I’ve got other uses for these but it’s interesting how you can turn the blades 180 and you have clamps. These are made in Norway, my favorite country I visited while serving in the US Navy many years ago. These are pricey but you are getting a quality piece of engineering that actually works!

Amazing lifting power
Amazing lifting power in a small package. Pricey, but worth it for the need we had. Lift arms are shorter than I would have preferred, but got the job done. We needed to get an ~800 lb, 12x14 gazebo moved and wanted to do it w/o disassembly. In order to do it, we needed to get it lifted up high enough to put automobile dollies under each corner post. Required 2 Viking arm jacks to raise half the posts at a time to get on the dollies. Longer lift arms would have helped, but worked fine and got the job done

Very useful lifting tool!
Very good quality! I bought a pair before the prices went down. Now that it’s always on sale, this is a good choice over the other brands. I do have a pair of blue ones too and they are as good but bulkier than the Vikings.
