Honeywell Evohome - Circles of Hell
We refurbished our property and added UFH to certain areas of the ground floor with a view to adding more zones at a later stage. We decided on Evohome based on various review sites but these were either stuffed with fake reviews or the product review came from areas where Honeywell product support is available (hours on hold trying to get through but alas no Honeywell support call was ever answered) or from areas where am engineer network is available. We had several people on the Honeywell website tell us they had stopped installing it. We were left with zero help. I managed to get the controller working via a zone valve (which Honeywell advise not installing) but it doesn't connect to the HomeHub.As it happens I work in a trade counter and know several highly experienced plumbing and heating engineers (not Honeywell installers but competent) they all decided it was incomprehensible. Oh for hindsight.Regrettably and at considerable expense I've decided that every Evohome product in our house will go on eBay and I'll look for alternatives provided by a company with an interest in helping customers not just leaving them hanging out to dry.Honeywell Evohome - Honeywell Scream at Home5 Zone controller - 5 circles of Hell more like.Avoid Avoid Avoid.

If you need a system that works with you complete setup, don't buy this!
Actually zero stars, doesn't deserve one! This item does not come with the external antenna, if you need a system that uses this then steer well clear of this product as you will have a nightmare trying to find it. Personally I will never purchase a Honeywell product ever again and I would recommend anyone looking for a system to control their heating to look elsewhere. There are better, cheaper and systems that work more efficiently with better customer care and knowledge. I rue the day I bought into this system!

Works as a replacement, not the same as HCC80
Works well, but be aware that this is not the same as a HCC80 (which it was replacing). The HCE 80 is identical but without the internal antenna, which means that you need to buy (and wire up) an additional separate antenna HRA80. See pic. Honeywell is a nightmare to configure, I spent a couple of hours with my plumber to work out the morse code of lights, with the controller binding.5 stars is for the item doing what it needed to as a replacement, but I wouldn't choose a Honeywell evohome in retrospect based on the poor quality of the system (after 2 years, having to replace ufh controller, 2 actuators, and a controller that doesn't keep battery off the dock).
