Thundercats: The Complete Collection [DVD] [1985] [2008]

Bought to learn a new generation of this masterpiece of an opening and cartoon. Totally didn’t buy it for myself to see all the episodes I missed back in the day. There’s a huge amount of episodes for the price. Really falls off later, in the second season., weird characters who don’t fit in, repetitious stories. I never realised how annoying snarf, snarf snarf.

One of my favourite shows as a kid, hopefully it's as good as I remember.

Oh, the 80s kid nostalgia hits hard with this one. Too easy to lose track of time and watch back to back for hours.

Thundercats arrived on our screens when I was about fifteen so was panned mercilessly at school. Not to mention scorned by most. However it was on just as I got home from said establisment so was watched. Scroll foward way too many years and My three boys 3,5,7 now have more Thundercats to watch than I ever did. There are, what seems like, hundreds of episodes. The picture quality is top notch as is the sound so no cheap strait from VHS here. The boys loved them all. They then played Thundercats for hours, and will no doubt watch them over and over again. Peace and quite has never come so cheap. There is a problem.....the theme tune sticks in your mind all day and I do mean all day. So if people look at you in the street it's because you are humming it and don't realise it.

There are some bad points to the set but bare in mind, these do no take away from the nostalgia and enjoyment of the show. The worst is the case and how the discs ate stacked but I plan on buying a cheap dvd fabric case to separate them properly which isn't a big deal. I put the disc in my basic and a day later it reduced in price so the money saved easily pays for a better storage solution. The running order list names them as seasons 1 and 2 but checking IMDB, it does include all 4 seasons. While checking the IMDB listing against the name of the episodes the discs do seem to be out of order. As an adult it maybe odd while watching but for kids, they hardly ever notice and even if they did, probably won't even care. Classic kids TV show and memorable theme. The kids are flying through it and love it.

THUNDER! THUNDER! THUNDERCATS HOOO!!! Yes i remember good old Lion o's punch line still to this day, Thundercats are brilliant just to sit down and watch with ANY children one of the best 80's series around back then and now even today we still remember just how good they are. So you can imagine how delighted i was to finally be able to have every single episode ever made from the 80's on this box set all 130 episodes are set on this dvd box all in great colour and of course dated back from the older times nothing is new on here it's the same design as in the 80's classic episodes, a must have for any THUNDERCATS lover :)

Loved this show growing up & with having a son, I wanted to show him a quality series that I loved & it does not disappoint at all, still an amazing show

Ordered yesterday, delivered today, watching right now. Nice box set. 24 disks!!!! Because people are complaining they don't work on uk players, I tried a red disk, tried a purple disk, and they work flawlessly. Tested in UK PS5. Warning, watching my short video may introduce serious feelings of nostalgia!! Needless to say, I'm very pleased with this purchase.

La serie tal como veíamos en la tele, esta en inglés y subtitulos en inglés, pero fácil de entender. La imagen se nota que es antiguo, aún así se ve muy bien.

Endlich sehe ich season 2, das nie auf SAT1 ausgestrahlt wurde. Sehr erfreulich ist die hervorragende Bildqualität und englische Sprache mit Untertiteln. Den Serieninhalt muss ich wohl nicht großartig beleuchten. Die Katzenmenschen vom Planeten Thundera landen auf der dritten Erde (Offenbar Erde nach einer Katastrohpe), gefolgt von Mutanten vom Planeten Plun-darr, die das im Schwert vom Omen eingelassene Auge stehlen wollen. Auch der böse Zauberer Mumm-Ra, ein Bewohner der dritten Erde (dar chon lebte, als es noch die erste Erde war), ist hinter dem Juvel her. Das klassische Team of Five wurde hier erweitert Lion-O, der Anführer, Verstand eines Kindes im gealterten Körper Pantho - Der Kraftprotz und Mechaniker Tygra - Ein Trickster Cheetara - Speedster Wilykit und Wilykat - schlauen minderjährigen Zwillinge Snarf - Comedyeinlage Jag-O - Mentaler Führer von Lion-O, der nur noch als Geist vorkommt In Staffel 2 kommmen Lynx-O, Lynxana und Bengali dazu Meistens wird nach jeder Folge ein status quo erreich, aber trotzdem ein Storybogen erzählt. Die Serie pfeifft auf Realismus. Das schwert von Omen hat jede Fähigkeit, die Lion-O gerade benötigt. Und jeder kann im All atmen und fällt nach unten. Trotzdem ein Klassiker. Erwähnenswert ist, dass Thundercats Roar gerade augestrahlt wird. Das dritte Reboot. Aber wenn ich ehrlich bin, es ist Müll. Lieber Originalserie oder das nach einer Staffel gecancelte Reboot kaufen. Die Originalserie ist ein Klassiker! Ich empfehle den Kauf!

Perfekt paket för alla mellan 40 och 45 som tittade på serien när man var liten och var helt förtrollad av den då. Måste erkänna att den håller faktiskt än idag. Får kommer ihåg att den är till för barn så om den upprepar sig eller gör saker lite förenklad det är bara att påminna sig om vem den var gjort för ifrån början. Låten och introt är lika maffigt som man minns. Och där finns extra material som gör det här ännu mer prisvärt som inte nämns i beskrivningen.
