If you like stepping barefoot into sharp rocks, this may be the product for you. I purchased this product thinking I'd be receiving a trackless litter that completely traps urine smell and is safe to use in the house. I was wrong.There are some spurious claims on the site about the features of the product:"Irregular shaped for low tracking" - Yes, they are certainly irregular shaped, but low tracking they are not. It's been over a month since I threw the last of this litter out and I'm still finding sharp-edged, white rocks the size of gravel throughout the house. Typically I find these with my bare feet and a lot of bad words directed at the manufacturer. **Do not buy this litter if you expect it to be "trackless"!**"99.9 percent dust free" - This may technically be true, but that 0.01 percent dust completely filled the room when I poured the bag into the litter box and made it difficult to breathe. My mouth and lungs hurt for hours and I developed a dry, hacky cough. This is dangerous silica dust and you shouldn't breathe it in. For the second bag of litter, I made sure to use a mask I would have otherwise used for working with drywall before I poured it in."Available in 3.5 (1 month) ... bags" - The litter doesn't clump like clay litters, so it lasts as long as you can handle the smell. For the first two weeks, it's pretty odor free, but it picks up quickly after that. Our two bags together lasted about 6 weeks. On top of that, since you need to regularly scoop the litter to take out the feces, the larger rocks in the litter get scooped out as well and reduces its effectiveness.Stick with clay. You know what you're getting, you won't develop lung cancer from the dust, the tracked litter won't cut up your feet, and it does a much better job of trapping the scent than this product.Don't waste your time and money on this.

I have three cats and am more finicky than they are about their litter! I used Feline Pine for years, then shifted to Crystal Steps, but found the odor a bit too chemical. I decided to give the Litter Pearls a try and am very pleased with it. Although it is not totally trackless, I find that it tracks much less than anything else. I do agree with reviewers who complain about the dust - I do what one other reviewer suggested and empty the bags into the litter box out on my deck, then wait for it to settle, then move it down to the cats' bathroom. It is not absolutely necessary, but it helps.I use a fresh bag once a week. I know it could go longer, but I prefer the more white than yellow.

I like this product very much. It actually does last a month, has no perfume or odor (which I detest) and completely prevents all urine odor, something which no other litter seems to do nearly as well. Basically, I want to smell nothing, no urine, no perfume and this litter does it. Non-trackable is a little misleading, as any litter is going to be tracked if the cat kicks it all over the place. The previous version of this product was round, and the little balls seemed to roll for miles, so this is a vast improvement. If you prefer a non-clumping litter (and I do), and hate perfume in cat litter, this is the stuff.
