If I printed / impressed into clay (for gift tags) would the letters stay in the holders?

Hi, its hard to say. They are a snug press fit into the rails. I use them to cast numbers into wet plaster and then when hard they stay behind in the cast and I have to prise them out. Also after multiple use I found the rubber blocks become more hard and get looser in the frames. My guess would be that they would come away in the wet clay. You could glue them in with impact adhesive or hot glue gun, and clean off after each time. When I am next in the workshop I will try an unused frame & some unused characters and try it in modelling clay... if you can wait for an answer later this week.

How are people preventing the letters from getting mixed up after each use? Surely not in the racks supplied?

Just bung them in a small freezer bag as complete words. Chances are that you will want to repeat these words again subject to the use that you are using them. When they are bagged just a small drop of white spirit will clean them off to make them less messy to re-use.

Could you print text on a t-shirt with this kit?

Not. With the current ink, you need to buy permanent ink but the letters aren't big enough for a t shirt.

Hello. May I ask how tricky/award it is to position letters, & if you have any pictures of sample stamps to illustrate how the stamps look? Thanks

No option to up load photos but i have fat fingers and i managed but the tweezers are handy to use too although you can use your own tweezers if you have any and want something slimmer to use :)
