Yes, the magnets are super strong so DO be careful to not get your fingers in between and don't put the two sides together without the spacer. But it needs to be that strong to deal with 25mm windows!I was extremely surprised how well this worked! sure, the outside part fell down sometimes, but I have windows that would be absolutely impossible to clean without this. So my kitchen window was absolutely filthy and this product with water and dishwashing soap actually cleaned it surprisingly easy and it even dried the window off really well! I'll gladly take a bit of fiddling and the outer part falling off sometimes for that! I've only used it once so far, I'm sure with practice the fiddling will reduce.

The magnets are so powerful that I can not move the pieces! Utterly useless because the pieces remain stationary. 😣

Long story short: it works pretty well if you have no alternative way of cleaning the outside of your windows.I live in a second floor flat where the windows don’t have that feature to open up fully to let you clean them properly so I bought this. After reading the reviews I knew to beware of the magnets but nothing could have prepared me for how strong they were!! I held them in separate hands and they still snapped together, trapping my finger and BREAKING MY 2 DAY OLD ACRYLIC NAIL - OUCH!!!!Nonetheless I found the device to work well with a solution of diluted fairy liquid. It did take some practice to get used to. However, after one use, the white sponge has come off the product and the clips won’t attach again. And the squeegee feature is really loose on one side of the device.I had a really hard to reach narrow window which it has done a good job on (the photos are showing it from the most undesirable angle). All of the windows needed touching up with a micro fibre cloth too.

I was really excited for this and opened it straight away! My thoughts below:The instructions are clear enough despite being written in pidgin english.I would recommend going a strength higher than you think is necessary. Mine lost its grip fell a fair few times - luckily the cord did not give way as others have said. However, I'm on the second floor so when the cleaner dropped the first time, it smacked very hard into the window of the apartment below me. As a result, when cleaning going forward I felt the need to keep the cleaner on a very tight cord meaning it was all a bit awkward.If you accidentally get the two magnets close together then good luck to you. This happened to me at least 3 times even though I was being careful. Twice I had my finger caught in between and OMFG it HURTS. In other reviews people describe running to their husbands for help. Well I'm a 23 year old by herself who had no-one to help me. Yes there were tears. Luckily I am reasonably strong so managed to prise them apart but this took at least 10 minutes each time.Lastly I also found the final result a little smeary. The photo above was from the very first window I cleaned so the pads weren't dirty yet. I did keep cleaning them throughout. This is when it was very hard to not to get them to touch. My windows were really quite dirty so maybe it's partly due to that, but it was underwhelming. I thought about going over a second time but as I found whole process so stressful I've decided against.I won't be using this tool again, I think I'm traumatised.

I bought this item for use on upper windows which were difficult to reach on the outside.Very easy to use, cleans well, trial and error on first use, but great after!We purchased the wrong size with our first order (make sure to check the window width) It was easy to return and re-order the correct one.

Very good for cleaning my double glazed windows. Took it slow and worked well.

We live in, basically, a third floor and we have double glazed windows. After a first use the part you use inside slipped with all the water and cleaning product and got totally smashed before finishing one window. It’s a bit my fault but it can slip very easily from your hand as it doesn’t have much room to grab it. The cheap plastic that they are made an how heavy it is it will probably get damaged if it falls even from a first floor. Magnets are not strong enough for double glazed windows. It would be better to have a better handle.

Tried to use this and the magnets are so strong I caught my fingers in it trying to get it apart. This really hurt and I received a black fingernail for my efforts.When I managed to get the thing apart to try on my window the magnet was so strong it really smashed against my window and I was very lucky it didnt break.The advertising is false as it is not as easy to use as stated and shown in the item adverts, its dangerous and should be withdrawn from Amazon.
