A box set of the first three prehistoric animated children's adventures. In 'The Land Before Time', young dinosaur Littlefoot is orphaned and so he sets off with a gang of fellow baby dinosaurs in search of a legendary green valley that offers safety from the plague that is sweeping the world. In 'The Land Before Time 2 - The Great Valley to Heaven', the young dinosaurs are coaxed into the forbidden 'Mysterious Beyond' by the mischievous Cera, and they realise that everything in their world is not as idyllic as they had thought. In 'The Land Before Time 3 - The Time of the Great Giving', Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Spike and Petrie have to find a new source of water when a meteorite plunges into the Great Valley and their fellow prehistoric pals start getting grumpy. Along the way they have to battle the dreaded Sharpteeth, dodge a fierce fire and avoid angry velociraptors. But through it all, the friends work as a team.

Childhood classic
In a moment of nostalgia I thought I'd treat myself to this collection. I absolutely loved this as a child and can't believe how much image quality has improved since then but nevertheless this is fantastic. A real childhood classic and something children will love. I really enjoyed watching again purely and it was great to see what I'd missed the first time around.Definitely worth giving this a go if you haven't before - especially as a gift for small children as it's entirely lovable. I would consider it loosely educational based on the fact that dinosaur extinction is briefly covered and migration of animals is also seen quite a lot. Obviously parts aren't entirely realistic but they don't need to be in my opinion.Really enjoyable and fun for the family. If you've seen it before it's lovely to watch again.

Great dvds my daughter loves them
So very pleasedwith this purchase I had been looking for land before time dvds for my 3 year old daughter as my 10 year old son had. videos of them when he was 3. These were a fantastic deal and she loves them, even her brother has watched them with her. So thanks very much for a fab deal, dvds are not cheap these days and with the economic climate as it is we need more chances like this - great products at great prices with great customer service too ;-)

Family favourite time
I bought these dvd's (1, 2 and 3) for a young friend who needed cheering up and they really worked. He was delighted with them and now want's the rest. I enjoyed them when I first saw them and in spite of being 71 have now got the complete collection myself!! The cast of characters are so cute and appealing. I would certainly purchase them for any other children I know.

Ive loved the Land Before Time since I was a chld (many moons ago)Bought this 3 dvd set for my son who loves dinosaurs and he cant get enough of itIts suprisingly grown up-the first dvd deals with the death of Littlefoots mother. But its very well written and so touching a storyIf anyone hasnt seen it, please buy it. Its a classic.
