Updated review as company got in touch to say the GPS unit didn't support the Rexing dash cam ( I purchased it s others that had purchased the cam had purchased this GPS unit too) and advised me to return it for a refund.Purchased the GPS logger to use with a Rexing s500 dash cam, all plugged in but dash cam says no GPS. Tried moving it around to different points still no GPS signal.

My 1st impression when unpacking my dash cam was that it looks and feels like a well put together quality piece of kit. I chose hard wired it into my car so it switches on as soon as I start my engine and switches off when I switch off my ignition using the har wire kit supplied with it. This only took my about 10-15 minutes. I also attached the gps that came with it which works great. I like the way the camera attaches to the windscreen which is very secure with no risk of it falling off. I can remove it in a second without any suckers leaving marks on the windscreen. The video and sound quality is really good when played back on my tv. Night time video footage isn't always brilliant when driving on dark country roads but I would guess most cameras would struggle picking up detail in poor light conditions.Since installing it several weeks ago it has worked perfect without letting me down. I would definitely recommend this camera.

The camera itself is quite good. So far been unable to get this to automatically record whilst vehicle is parked. Camera did not fit between the rear view mirror and top of screen as I had hoped. Bought this with the hard wire, to permanently supply a live feed. Tried adding this to the interior light, but the camera would turn itself off after 15 seconds. So I start removing trims around the windscreen (damaging them in the process), run the wires to behind the dashboard and give them good feeds, to find that the supplied cable has a rubbish plug on the end which does not work properly, and know the plug on the camera got damaged during this process. Have had to run the cable with the big ugly 12v adapter plug on the end to power the camera.

Bought this a few days ago and couldn't wait to install it. On arrival I plugged USB into dedicated USB socket in living room so could get to know the menu system etc.. all good so far. When came to installing in car I used the 12v adapter to mini USB to power up and find best position on windscreen before sticking down permanently. Still all good. Once positioned on window I began routing the hard wire kit behind trim etc and managed a very tidy install. Used a piggy back fuse holder for live wire.When it came to switching on I was presented with "Mass Storage or PC Cam" If appears that the 12v lead and the hard wired lead are in some way different because once I plugged in the 12v lead again all was working. The solution I have found on google was to tape off the middle pins in the USB lead so that only the outer pins connect. Once this was done the lead worked perfectly. Now it automatically switches on and records when car is started.All in all, apart from the above hiccup I am extremely pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend.

Very impressed so far. Easy to install everything provided in the box to help. Crystal clear video picks up every detail. Crystal clear audio as well - this means I need to stop swearing so much!! Starts recording automatically when I turn the key I don't have to do anything or even check. I would definitely recommend this unit.

What can I say? Plugged it in and it just worked, no problem. Downloaded Earthshine Software's Dashcam Viewer to view files and it works well too.The Datakam/Registratorviewer software mentioned elsewhere doesn't work fully because of changes made by Google and the developer has sadly died so I wouldn't bother with that now.

Piece of cake to wire in, generous length of cable, does what it is supposed to do. What more is there to say! Shame it does not come as part of a package with the front and rear dashcam, its pricey to buy on its own, I think, same as the GPS logger. You can buy the front camera with discounted Hardwire kit and GPS, but not with the rear camera as well.Strange!

Very good camera with a clear picture and a lot better than the cheap ones. Essential as saved me a lot of time when I was recently involved in an accident
