Precision AP054 Alarm Clock, Black, One Size

Very useful little clock. Keep it by your bedside or pack it in a case when travelling. The face is easy to read. The alarm is easy to set and it gives time,date and temperature. What more do you need. It was easy to order. the delivery was prompt. also it was well packed.

Amazing little clock, no setting up needed, sets itself to the correct time, date and day.

Bought to replace an earlier version of this clock which lasted 20 years. Small, neat design. Only two small niggles which the previous version did somewhat better - (a) if you hit the top buttons in order to light up the display and check the time, the backlight is very bright; (b) if you wake up before the alarm has gone off and press the right-hand button to cancel it, the clock emits a small beep - which will probably disturb anyone else in the same room. Other than those two niggles, it's a good item and well worth the money.

What a pity. It's a neat little clock and works as one in manual mode. Unfortunately after several days of trying it has failed to receive a signal, and is not acting as a radio controlled clock. I've tried leaving it overnight, removing the batteries and trying again. I've placed it near different aspect windows but still no joy. I've tried pressing the wave button too. Update - some months later it's recieving a signal and working properly. Maybe it was a poor signal after all.

This is an excellent little clock. It is designed to use the UK National Time signal to set and adjust the time shown as appropriate. You must take note of the instructions, and there are many other sources on-line, to set up the clock. The UK National Time signal is from a transmitter somewhere where near the English Lake District in Cumbria, so if like me living on the South Coast, where the signal is weaker, it is recommended to place the clock on a window ledge facing the signal transmitter (North for me) and it worked for me. Just recently it changed automatically to British Summer Time. Be patient, because it is 2am when the signal is synced. I can recommend this clock 🙂

The radio control function did not work in spite of several attempts. This function was my reason for the purchase. I have returned the item.

I've given this 5 stars because it's a fab clock.. for the UK... I doubted reviews confirming it's useless in different time zones, but needed it for the UK only anyway so purchased all the same. Plenty on here to confirm how good a little clock this is on here, so I'll concentrate on the RC update feature it defaults to in the early hours of the morning regardless of any adjustment. I've tested it and it seems (unlike other RC clocks) it doesn't have settings for other time zones. It's a clock made only for the UK domestic market as it only updates to GMT. There is a manual mode obtainable via the "wave" button (RC symbol absent), and so I thought I'd set the wrong time on manual and see what happened overnight (leaving it on manual)... In the morning the RC symbol had miraculously returned and the clock had adjusted correctly to the second to GMT.. Conclusion: Useless in any time zone that doesn't follow GMT time. Set it for a flight departure (for example) and you are screwed. It's a lovely foolproof clock for the UK and so I'm happy (5 stars from me) but the tag "travel clock" and nothing in the description re the fact that it certainly isn't is a bit naughty tbh.. We're they to just provide a setting that kept the RC off then it would be perfect. Very odd that the company producing it are into sales self harm in this way...

Je n'ai pas aimé le fait qu'il n'ai que le fuseau horaire de la Grande Bretagne. A chaque foi il se dérègle pour se mettre à l'heure anglaise. C'est très embêtant lorsqu'on habite en France.

I got it bec I wanted a RADIO CONTROLLED clock with backlight. U can only have the light when u press the button. It doesn’t work the whole time. I gave it 2 not one bec it’s size is practical to put it on ur office and ur next to bed

Non viene specificato che riceve il segnale inglese per l'impostazione dell'ora e non ti permette di cambiare fuso orario. Ha la possibilità di rimuovere l'opzione per aggiornare l'ora ma non so perché finisce di funzionare di notte, puntualmente ogni mattina ti ritrovi con l'ora cambiata... HO RIMEDIATO TOGLIENDO L'ANTENNA CHE C'È ALL'INTERNO 😉😉😉

En ningún sitio ponía que recibe la señal inglesa para el radio control por lo que se pone cuando conecta siempre una hora menos que en la España peninsular. Si eres de Canarias sí que te viene bien pero no te permite cambiar de uso horario, por eso le pongo baja calificación. También tiene la posibilidad de quitar la opción de actualizar la hora, no sé por qué al final acaba cambiando por la noche, de hecho ya me he despertado un dia tarde por el reloj.

Habitant en France, j'ai positionné manuellement ce réveil sur l'horaire d'été ... Oh surprise, le lendemain matin, le réveil avait perdu 1 heure se trouvant à l'heure d'hiver ! En recherchant sur internet j'ai traduit un message en anglais qui précisait cela : "l'horloge se met également à jour automatiquement à l'heure standard britannique par signal radio". Ce réveil ne correspond donc pas du tout à un acheteur n'ayant pas le même fuseau horaire que l'Angleterre. Très, très déçu par le site qui ne le précise pas.
