"The Bible of the Red Pill", The Rational Male® is a rational and pragmatic approach to intersexual dynamics, and the social and psychological underpinnings of intergender relations. The book is the compiled, ten-year core writing of author/blogger Rollo Tomassi from therationalmale.com. Rollo Tomassi is one of the leading voices in the globally growing, male-focused online consortium known as the "Manosphere". Outlined are the concepts of positive masculinity, the feminine imperative, plate theory, operative social conventions and the core psychological theory behind Game awareness and "red pill" ideology. Tomassi explains and outlines the principles of intergender social dynamics and foundational reasoning behind them. Review: A mind changer and a life changer. - I have been looking for a properly useful book on what makes the modern woman tick for years now. This one opens up the female mind for all to see and as the author himself asserts; its not pretty. If you are young and wondering what you are doing wrong in your "Game" with women, or older, like me, and wondering what the hell has happened to them in the age of feminism this book will explain all. Women of course will loathe this book. But it's not for them. It's for Men only (isn't that a shocking phrase these days). Most of what Tomassi has to say about women's minds and behaviours will be met with howls of protest and derision in our femcentric world. But it is the truth. It is truly wonderful to realize that the thrilling ideas of the PUA (Pick Up Artist) as exemplified in Strauss's magnificent "The Game", that I read a few years back, has morphed into a much deeper critical examination of women, men and the what our increasingly feminized society is doing to us. Tomassi does indeed talk much about "Game"; but on a much deeper level than merely Pick UP: he encourages us to internalize the mindset and behaviours which will help men to become, well, men; but men completely on their own terms and not in reference to any feminized ideas of what a man should be. If I had a teenage son I would buy him this book on his 16th birthday so that he would become aware of the "Feminine Matrix" and , hopefully, internalize Tomassi's messages. I believe what he has to say is that important. Buy this book. Take the Red Pill. Unplug yourself from the Matrix. Review: The Definitive Guide to Women in the sexual market place - Before the sexual revolution, society and religion regulated the interactions between men and women so men could afford to be ignorant of female nature. The 60s brought sexual liberation, legalised abortion, the welfare state and universally available contraception followed by no-fault divorce and heavily female-centric custody laws. This gave women control over children birth combined with the legal hammer of child support and the safety net of the welfare state and heavily tipped the scales in their favour. Men, who had up to now been playing by the old rules, have been left confused and hurt by behaviours the seemingly irrational and often cruel choices of women that started after this power shift. The Rational Male is the first and seminal book that helps the male reader to make sense of this new dating landscape. Since its publication, there has been an explosion of 'Red Pill' authors and books on the same topic but nowhere is the information laid out more clearly or logically than in the Rational Male. The book explains female nature through the lens of the female sexual strategy of always looking to trade up (hypergamy.) When this is viewed not just as a desire, but as an imperative, we are shown how many confusing female behaviours become not only explainable, but predictable. Men have been guilty of taking a 'male-centric' approach and treating relationship problems with logic, communicating logically and expecting women to be logically consistent with their statements. For example, when a woman says that if a man does more housework she will be more willing in the bedroom, men can be fooled into thinking this is a logical trade and be puzzled by why she is still not in the mood after he has done the dishes. By using the framework in the Rational Male and observing rather than listening, men can begin to understand women and to adjust their behaviours to get what he wants from the relationship. The Rational Male is (literally) a life saving book and essential reading for any man, single, dating or married. This was the information your father never told you and the information he never had to learn. Buy this book and buy a copy for your closest male friend too.

Transformational, exactly what men need right now
I first came across Rollo's work though Elliott Hulse, and if Hulse recommends a book, it's got to be a great book, and this is more than a bloody great book, this is a transformational and groundbreaking piece of work. I was well informed on game before I read this book, however, I wasn't aware of intersocial dynamics to this extent, this information is such a gem that you need to go through it multiple times to realize how valuable it is. As a 19-year-old I feel it's an absolute pleasure to have stumbled across such information so early on, it opened my eyes to a wide range of hard truths that I see occur regularly around me that represents perfectly well what Rollo describes in the book. Once you read this book and have a look around, you realize how deprived we really are of positive masculinity as described in the book, and how 90% of men are still in the matrix, conforming to feminine idealizations and pedestalizing women to an unbelievable degree. The most disturbing fact of all is that they are totally oblivious of their blue pill conditioning, and this is exactly why it is the norm now and women are loving it while men are figuring out mindlessly how to get their ex back. I lost count to how many friends I have suggested this book, and it's fantastic to see friends becoming aware of such invaluable information, it's a chain reaction. If there's any single book you must read as a man, it has to be this book, and while you're at it just grab the other two volumes as well. PS. Many of your questions and curiosities associated with women and their nature will be answered after reading this book.

... issues from the male "manosphere" perspective (A term I hate as much as the femosphere)
Insightful exploration of gender issues from the male "manosphere" perspective (A term I hate as much as the femosphere). Since its behavioural psychology that informs Tomassi's "nuts and bolts" ideas it'll come as no surprise that he's missing whole dimensions regarding interpersonal relationships. We are biochemical machines with attendant drives and unconscious motivations which are supremely powerful but there is also a psycho-spiritual dimension and conscious decision-making which can transcend the Game of Sex and what often appears to be who can out-manipulate who in this gender battle. That said, there are some genuine insights into the nature of what drives men and women as well as some much needed light-shining on where men go wrong in relating to women. All of which is given in accessible and direct language. In summary, it's definitely worth adding to one's gender politics library. The down side is that the text the author / editor chose is ridiculously small to the point of irritation. How anybody could conceive this minuscule pt. size as a good idea is utterly beyond me - I can only imagine it was a mistake. After reading ten pages I'm into headache territory. You're much better off with the Kindle edition. Also, a good editor would have been well worth it since there is copious repetition in an obvious blog format. This could easily have been avoided if a bit more thought was put into the editing / formatting instead of trying to pack it into 280+ pages to save on costs. A bigger book with bigger type would have been so much better.

Clear cogent alternative view of gender relations - every man must read
Outstanding. I had heard of Rollo being behind the quote 'alpha f**cs beta bucks" and dismissed him as someone advocating a mindless macho mindset that simply wouldn't fly in the world I have to inhabit. However, having read this book Rollo comes across as a compassionate man who just want to help other guys by opening their eyes. Even if you don't agree with what he says he expresses his ideas in a cogent and plausible manner. As a 41 year old life long beta his world view provides a convincing explanation of what I've witnessed in my life. There is no 'one', there is no love. There is simply a sexual market place in which we all have a value and trade accordingly. This is hidden from us men growing up, especially those like me who reached adulthood in the early 90s. Be a 'nice guy' and good things will come. 'Just be yourself' and the right woman and right career will land on your lap. These lies nearly destroyed my life and I have seen some of my contemporaries fall to pieces or even die due to these lies. Rollo ruthlessly exposes these dangerous lies for what they are. As ever ALWAYS MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND don't take my word for it but for any man looking for a different view this is the place to start.

My eyes are now opened.
This is a really fascinating book to read and bravo to Rollo Tomassi for writing this book! Reading this book can make any man realise that everything they were raised to believe about society and women to be false. In fact the society men are living in is driven by the feminine imperative to maintain the feminine reality with the main purpose of optimising hypergamy, a female reproductive strategy where women are driven to find the best mate as possible to ensure a successful offspring as well as security for women. It explains that hypergamy is opportunistic by nature which gives an understanding on why women would either leave or cheat on their boyfriends and husband or do both, especially on the topic about Good Genes vs Good Dads which explains why women would go for the bad boys when they were young and would settle down with the nice guys when they get older. This book reveals the truth about the existence of a soulmate known as "the one" to be a social construct created to give people false hopes by getting them to believe there is a "one" for everyone or the "right one" when it can lead to disaster and disappointment for many. Reading this book can make men reflect on what they have done wrong with women in regards of pursuing relationships and marriage as well helping men to realise their own SMV along with their interactions with women. If anyone who is interested in topics involving masculinity, relationships and women, then this is the book to read.

Good guidance and strategy building ideas
I found it useful for strategy building ideas, especially to slow down and plan things better than I've done before. Like any book I don't agree with everything written in it, I don't think there is such a book, but the parts I took away have been very helpful in clarifying my ideas and having the benefit of knowing why certain things happen in a relationship (a lot on hypergamy), that give me less fear of the unknown and actually a greater understanding and respect for women. I think you have to read this book with a very open mind, to benefit from it. A friend of mine hates some of the ideas in the book, especially that hypergamy doesn't exist or that it doesn't work in a self-centred way. But I didn't see it as any kind of attack, it's just a warning that you should try to understand these things before you enter your next relationship, and then it'll be better for both of you. In summary I feel better prepared, not fore-armed as it can come across as.

A different view
Due to circumstances I won't bother to lay out, I became interested in hearing about what a lot of the concepts the so called 'manosphere' promulgate with the blog of the Rational Male being highlighted as a good first place to look. He has a book? Awesome! Makes my life easier. Anyway The book itself is mainly a collection of his first year of blogging with a bit of extra commentary here and there, unfortunately this proves to be the book's main weak point - ostensibly this book is aimed at the uninitiated (which I was) but frequently it casually throws in potentially alien concepts, like Game, discussed in a fashion that the reader knows full well what he's referring to for a significant length of the book, before he finally gets around to explaining just what the hell said concept actually is. There's also a bit of egregious editing early on in the book where a whole paragraph is repeated in the transition between chapters, which raises questions as to how qualified his proof reader was. I feel he might have been better served crafting a narrative from his available material than doing a copy-paste from his blog output. And better served he would be because if you're able to persevere with the book it quickly becomes fascinating, it truly is a different way of looking at the world which, no doubt to the chagrin of others, does appear to be quite valid. There's even the danger that Rollo's observations and attendant theories make sense of the 'Feminist Sex Wars' to the point that their happening was an easily predicted foregone conclusion, because Hypergamy. A lot of the advice he gives is pretty decent too, if in some cases rather mundane with a mix of shocking naivety on the part of men; for example his advice on always using condoms contains the idea that it's overwhelmingly women that convince men to not wear condoms because they want to 'feel them', while my own advocacy of condoms has instead hit the wall of men refusing to bother because they want to 'feel them' and instead pushing their girlfriends to take the pill. All in all however if you're looking for something to challenge your world view and change how you look at the world I recommend getting this book.

It is a journey.
The book is not big in itself but it is written small, with a kind of high level of English, and you'll probably read 2 or 3 times many pages, so be ready to read "slow". I heard about the dude of some red pill podcast talking about Hypergamy, I bought the book without much context of what was inside. I already read the Game by Neil Strauss and was pretty aware about Game, but not much. The beginning of the book feels like some intellectual aerobics by a salty, yet very smart, man. There are some key interesting points still. As the book goes on and on, you understand piece by piece the real reasoning and it gets really interesting if you are open minded. As the book ends it became a real nightmare to get through it. Each new chapter was a big (postive yet very painful) slap in the face that related to past experiences I had. It goes deep, like talking about childhood trauma deep. In the end this book really moved me in inconfortable ways. I am much more aware about what is happening around me on a daily basis, without even talking about Game. What I found the most surprising is that the author is clearly "red pilled" but also avoids very nicely to be misogynistic by always offering, not justification, but clear explanations.

This book saved my life.
I cannot recommend "The Rational Male" series of books highly enough to Men, particularly young Men. In a time of crisis a close friend gave me this book and it explained in excruciating detail the story of my life as a "Blue Pilled" male. Following the painful ending of my most recent relationship, and with a string of prior failed relationships. The Rational Male finally explained to me in language I could understand, how, and why this had been the case up to that point. Understanding female nature and the lies told to me by our culture properly has completely changed my life. "The rational Male" series, and the "Red Pill Awareness" I have gained from it has taught me to not hate women for what they can never be to me, but rather appreciate them for what they are. Some of that is not flattering to my old Blue Pill ideals. It is very much obscured in the culture and in the ever present media. Read the book and understand what you as a man should be to a woman, instead of the lie sold to you since childhood. Your life and your relationships with women will be far better for it. Thank you Rollo Tomassi.

A must read Book
The Rational Male is an insightful and a must read book about the intersexual dynamics in a deeper sense. Particularly in today's confusing genders roles, it's a eye opening study about inter and intra genders prospects.

A Must Read for every Man.
One of the most moving books that I have ever read. I insist all men who haven't read it yet to read it with an open mind. Men gotta reclaim their due place in society before it's too late.
