They are 17/8" diameter and the centre of the spool s a good 1/4" deep. They are an excellent product and this is my second batch. Invaluable for beadwork. Good luck

I'm looking for something to wind 10m of 1mm thread. Would these be big enough?

in theory the answer is yes, I use them on a kumihimo disc to hold the same type of threads for braiding . I hope that helps
