Absolutely don't know why I never bought these before. My arthritis can make cutting the simplest of things near impossible. These can sometimes be tough to close but that's due to my issues, I'm impressed. No more do I have to clean the chopping board and knives each time I cut something, and chase carrot slices across the worktop. This is my new go to!It has it's own built in chopping board so you can cut anything and it doesn't need to be over a pan, cut and go! I use it when i cut chicken, or other meats as using a knife is difficult- not with these!Even if you have nothing wrong with your hands or joints, but you cook a lot, seriously get one of these- you won't regret it. Makes mealtimes so much easier and faster!!

Blade not sharp enough frustrating to use. Don't buy use scissors instead. Waste of money.

Was given one of these as a present about 3 years ago and have used it at least once a day ever since (it's perfect for all sorts of fruit & veg, particularly juicy things that tend to dribble if you use a conventional knife & chopping board) . Great for finely chopping herbs too. Mine broke last week so I HAD to replace it. This one is great value for money compared to some. Also it arrived way faster than I thought. Am very happy!

These clever 'scissors' came wrapped in cellophane inside a colourful box, so would make a handy, cheap, present for someone - or a great raffle prize etc. You can also use them yourself, lol. There are no instructions inside the box, but there are six small pictures with suggestions for use, on the outside of the box. These are not really scissors, as such, as scissors have two blades - this gadget has one blade that cuts downwards onto a sort of long narrow chopping board.What's nice about the gadget is that it is quick and easy to use for cutting smallish items of food that you'd normally cut or slice on a chopping board, with a separate knife, such as potatoes, tomatoes, radishes, cucumber, apples and other fruits etc. In many cases these 'scissors' are safer to use than a knife and a board because there is less risk of cutting a finger, as often happens when a food item rolls as you cut it, the knife slips off it - and you slice a finger instead. The only problem is that some raw foods like potatoes are quite hard to cut, and an older person with arthritic hands could have a problem squeezing this 2-in-1 gadget hard enough to cut through.I love the shape of the handles which are covered in non-slip, soft grip, silicon. They feel very comfortable in the hand, which is great if you have lots to cut. The handles should also help those with stiff finger joints, and carpal tunnel syndrome, etc. Shape-wise, and with their safety lock and spring mechanism, they somehow feel a bit like secateurs to use. It's great, too, that they are dishwasher safe, and can be hung up in the kitchen, instead of taking up space in an already over-full cutlery and utensils drawers - useful too to keep in a caravan etc, where space is limited. And probably best of all.... they are not expensive.

This has the feel of an idea that didn’t need inventing. It’s a kind of pair of scissors for vegetables. However instead of having two cutting blades it has one, so it cuts like a knife. Instead of a blade, the other half is a flat plastic piece, a little like a small chopping board. So it’s a knife and a chopping board combined into something that looks like scissors.Is it easier than using a knife and a chopping board? Not really. If you live in a house that has neither a knife nor a chopping board then this could be just the thing for you. This little bit of kit is amazing so easy to use it's great for the kitchen and for a picnic really easy to use and to clean it's great .... lovely little tool.Recommend it for anyone. Quick and easy.

Was excited to get these. Don’t bother as waste money. Cheaply made. Don’t really cut, gone back to using a knife as these don’t make things simpler!! Disappointed

These were for my father of 91 who has difficulty making a salad, this product is excellent .So easy for him to now cut everything he needs. Cucumber onions, lettuce etc.He wouldn’t be without them. Thank you.

Reçu à la bonne date, conforme, je l'utilise pour couper tous mes légumes même les carottes et navets, la viande... J'ai des soucis avec mes mains et cet outil est formidable, pas besoin de forcer, facile à utiliser, à démonter et à nettoyer.

La primera vez que leí sobre está "tijera" no entendí el concepto. Después intrigado busqué en la red, donde se puede encontrar algún vídeo de su funcionamiento y la verdad que es bastante ingenioso.Básicamente han querido reproducir como cortan los cocineros con su cuchillo sobre una tabla. Los cocineros apoyan el la punta del cuchillo en la tabla de cortar y van bajando el cuchillo a toda velocidad como si fuera una guillotina. Acompañan esta maniobra con ir moviendo lo que cortan con la mano, poniendo siempre las uñas por delante, para evitar un accidente. Para esto se necesita bastante destreza, y es lo que reproduce el cuchillo pero al revés.En este caso tenemos el cuchillo pegado a la tabla en forma de tijeras formando la misma guillotina. Las tijeras tienen un resorte que cada vez que bajamos el cuchillo lo vuelve a subir. Para facilitar el almacenamiento tiene un seguro que permite dejar la tijera cerrada. Que se abra sola permite ganar mucha velocidad. Obviamente no viene a sustituir a los cuchillos, pero a mi me es muy útil cuando quiero cortar una verdura y la quiero echar directamente en la olla o sartén. La cortas directamente sobre el sitio, ahorrándote tener que cortarla en un plato y después trasladarla a la olla. Cuando cortes, sobretodo corta sin miedo, con un golpe seco, es como mejor funciona. Al principio se hace curioso, pero con práctica se puede ganar mucha velocidad.

Z.B. bei Wiener Würstchen und Fleisch...diese lassen sich aufgrund des Amboßprinzips nicht komplett durchschneiden und es bleibt immer noch ein Rest hängen, welcher nicht komplett durchtrennt wird.*Ergo:5 Sterne von mir. Il coupe très bien autant les fruits que les légumes.Expédition et livraison rapide.Seul point négatif : dans ma commande j'avais également un gros livre, qui a sûrement bougé dans le carton de transport et a éventré le petit carton d'emballage de ce "couteau/ciseaux" de cuisine qui était avec ... Pas top sachant que c'était un cadeau ...
