Sinclair ZX Spectrum Vega Console

As an original spectrum owner back in the 80’s i had to buy this. I would say a small selection of the 1000 games are good. But with the sd slit in the back its easy to add your own favourites. This is well worth buying, i thought it would be 5 mins play then back in the box. But its out all the time and used constantly.

Disappointing. Lots of games on there, but even as an avid Spectrum fan from the 1980s, I struggled to recognise many of them. Opportunity missed.

My first Home-Computer was a Spectrum 48k. I passed hours and hours in front of the TV playing the games. When I saw this console online, it was a must have.... Of course, it is not the same like the games nowadays, but some of the games are still good as 35 years ago.... Big fun to play the original classics again. And You can download online more games and with an SD-Card play them on the console. Really great. If You want to go a small step back to the eighties, the Spectrum Vega will help You for sure.

For the console itself I give 5 stars. Very smart. For the games I expected a bit more. It says 1000 games but most of them are really very basic, games I used to play are not included. I know it's possible to download them but I have to figure out how to do it, and where to find these games. Till now the games I found are not permitted to download. That's a pity, I have the Original tapes so it is not illegal. Tips are very welcome!

Mixed feelings here. The device itself is cute, great design/idea/well put together and made in the UK (how often can you say that about current gadgets). 1000 games, that's a lot of games. some are old classics some are new-ish games, many are old ones I never heard of and don't feel I lost out. Whilst trying to achieve maximum nostalgia value by playing the Human League album Hysteria (you can substitute Depeche Mode or Iron Maiden here, or Howard Jones if you must) at the same time as playing Knight Lore to get that 1984 feeling again, I did feel a sense of something good in the world, only scuppered slightly by the foam earplugs I have for an ear infection! However some of those old classics, the games, are very much of their time and place bless them. The music of the speccy era dated better than the games (not sure about Howard though). Yes I'm glad I bought this, but I won't be leaving my PS4 anytime soon!

I never had a Spectrum when I was young (only C64) but now it was the correct time when Vega is here! Great console for retrogaming, 1 000 games preloaded and it was very easy to add more, the ones I was really interested in seeing and playing in "real envorinment". And the sounds via the TV, they are much better than the original Spectrum 48k could produce with its internal speaker. Plus even the Spectrum 128k games work in Vega!! Thanks a lot!

Disappointed that it won't connect to a TV WITHOUT the yellow composite plug so the screen is distorted and in black and white.So only works if you have the red,white and yellow composite in the back of your tellyI have latest tv without these and also without a scart slot.

Love it. Added many more games on sd card from my pc as well as enjoying the built in games. 80s is back again wow I'm back at school
