DK Eyewitness Top 10 Tokyo (Pocket Travel Guide)

On my way to Australia I decided to stop in Tokyo for 4 days. I didn’t want a massive Tokyo guide. Turns out this particular guide offers a 2-day itinerary and a 4-day one. Perfect! I basically followed what the guide told me. The guide is well structured and covers all the major neighbourhoods. It’s compact and easy to read, and comes with lots of maps. Very handy. Whenever I visited a particular site, I would read the appropriate bit about it. The content is visually appealing but not thorough. If you want to read a lot, this might not be your best option. But for me, since I’m not too keen on reading loads, getting the essentials is just what I needed.

Some good ideas on how to spend time (and money) in Tokyo. I like the format of these guides as they are easy to carry around.

Very useful for the first time traveller. Easy to use and brilliantly informative

This guide was fine for basic info and planning where to visit, but trying to find any of the shops / restaurants from the description and map reference given didn’t work.

Top 10 guides are always great. Bought as a gift and recipient has used to plan her trip to Tokyo - very pleased with it

Great pocket travel guide

Es una guía bastante completa sobre lo mejor de Tokio para turistas, tal vez un poco subjetiva, pero agradable y útil.

This is a useful guide although a bit dated. The images are always first rate.

Great book for plan a trip

Took this book with us on our trip, very useful, perfect size, maps in the back were used a lot, unlike other travel books this has enough information but not overwhelmingly too much!

I just returned from Japan and these books were very useful on our trip. Since we didn't know what we wanted to see, these books were perfect and listed everything we needed to know before we got there. I would recommend and include these in your must haves for your upcoming trip.

Nice quick guide. Covers each section of Tokyo with the best things to see, and places to shop and eat. Many photos so you can choose what interests you. Nice inner and outer cover maps but all discussed locations are only found in the zoomed-in central area maps, so no help locating them for the outer areas.

This book was not practical as it had no subways mentioned or how to get to the sites. We decided to buy the DK Tokyo book instead which at least has hours, phone numbers and subway stops.
