Perfect to power-on the dashcam.
Does what it is supposed to do. Installed it on a Honda Accord to Power on my dashcam. Bought 16 Ft version, and wired around the top of the windshield, passenger door panel and under the glove box compartment. I was left with a little bit of wire to hide around the gear box console. 11.5 ft version would have been short.

Works with mirror dash cam with gps and backup camera
I thought my dash cam was defective because my power port cable was still powered on. I tried another, and it didn't work. It was like it wasn't getting enough juice going through the wires. I already have a USB port plug-in with a 2.1 amp, and that did the trick with this wire. My dash cam is now getting enough power to actually stay on and run properly. The stock power was defective, or it didn't send as much power as it should. From now on, I am replacing with USB wires only. Just get a dual port minimum 12v cigarette lighter adapter and plug this wire in. Make sure it's not less than 2.1 amp. Some ports can go as high as 18 amp which is fine but not less than 2.1 amp.
