Bosch F016800369 43 cm LI GEN4/GEN 2.5/GEN2 Replacement Blade - Green

After 5 years I thought the mower would benefit from a new blade and wow what a difference. Very easy to change.

I had quite a job getting the 43cm blade so was happy to find this one. The problem was not caused by supplier. Bosch had made the hole and bolt that connects blade to body a bigger size and of a different thread to original . Had to use the original smaller size bolt and really tighten it, so as to keep to centre of the bigger hole.I didn't realise there would be a problem until I had opened the excessive plastic enclosed packaging and did not choose to return.

Good price, was a replacement as my old one retired. So far so good, works fine

Pieces of shingle are sometimes thrown onto my lawn by cars or shuffling feet. They have already taken several chips of steel off the blade.I cannot imagine anyone wanting an unsharpened blade. I am beginning to wonder if "sharpened blade" could mean that it is a resharpened repainted second-hand blade that has been sharpened beyond the hardened area.Anyone know if that is the case. I do not think my original blade wore as badly as this one.

Cuts well, but the blade is too easily damaged, even by small stones

I have had several of these and they have all performed well. It is important to follow the instructions for fitting the blade ie locking the motor with a screwdriver or similar while undoing or doing up the bolt that retains the blade.I usually change the blade in my mower every year or so to maintain sharpness despite the occasional contact with a flagstone.
