Digital Caliper Measuring Tool, 6 Inch Caliper Tool with Large LCD Screen, Easy Switch from Inch Millimeter Fraction, Stainless Steel Vernier Caliper Digital Micrometer for DIY/Household

I have a dial caliper the same size as this but don’t use it since buying this digital model. It works great and is very accurate. Can choose from US std or metric as well as inches, decimals or fractions. It comes in a plastic case with a mini screwdriver and a spare set of button batteries. It appears to be well made.

These digital calipers have been an absolute game-changer in my workshop! I used to struggle with the tiny graduations on my old manual calipers, constantly second-guessing my measurements. These digital calipers have taken all the guesswork out of the equation. The large, clear LCD screen displays measurements in easy-to-read numbers, down to the thousandth of an inch (or metric equivalent, if you prefer!). This level of precision is fantastic for everything from woodworking and metalworking to electronics projects! What I really appreciate is how simple they are to use. The buttons are intuitive, and the calipers themselves feel comfortable and well-balanced in my hand. The smooth sliding action makes it easy to get accurate readings, and the hold function is super handy for freezing a measurement when you're working in tight spaces. I also love the ability to quickly switch between inches and millimeters, saving me time and frustration. The build quality seems excellent. They feel sturdy and durable, like they can withstand the bumps and knocks of regular use. I've had them for some time now, and they're still performing flawlessly. For anyone who needs accurate and easy-to-read measurements, I highly recommend these digital calipers. They've definitely earned a permanent place in my toolbox!

A great digital caliper. It has the versatility of switching between metric and imperial units, and can measure inside, outside, and depth. A thumbscrew allows the user to change the stability, so you can make it right to keep a measurement. Turns on right when you use it, so very easy to use. The display is a small LCD, all you need to view the readings. Seems fairly durable, I havent had any issues with it. Has a button to set 0, as over a few weeks it fails to retain zero.

Ended up returning this item despite it being quite nice. Easy to read display. Easily accessible buttons. Appreciate that it would do fractions, imperial, and metric measurements. Felt very solid. Unfortunately it also felt very heavy.

After I ordered this Jiavarry caliper I read the one-star reviews where users complained it did not last very long for them before going into error mode and rapidly displaying random non-sensical numbers on the digital display. When it finally arrived (took a few more days than originally promised) I immediately tested it out with a 1-2-3 block that I purchased from Amazon for that purpose, as well as a feeler gauge set that I also purchased from Amazon. In both cases the measurement was PERFECT - the 1-2-3 block measurements were EXACTLY one-inch, two-inch, and three-inch all the way down to the thousanth (like 03.000, not 03.001 or 03.002). The feeler gauge I measured was also perfect (0.035 and so on) with no variation or skipping around with the measurement. We'll just have to see how long it lasts, but if it lasts 9-months or more, I will be satisfied given the low cost (about $15 with the discount offered by Amazon). It also feels substantial in weight, and well balanced, unlike the cheap Pittsburgh brand from Harbor Freight Tools which I've had for a number of years, but have never been as near as accurate as this one. The plastic case is also nice and should keep the caliper protected from the elements throughout its life. The only negative I have is the battery compartment has two very tiny screws holding a plastic plate over the battery, and I worry those screws could be easily dropped and lost. The screwdriver provided in the case is slightly magnetized so I'm hoping that is enough to keep hold of the screws. I imagine if I lose one of the screws I could use duct tape or something, but in the mean time I will just be really careful, hope the battery lasts a long time, and open the battery compartment with great care over a bench to keep the screws from scattering.

I am impressed and pleased with these calipers, and relieved to have them after attempting to measure a small screw hole with an office ruler yesterday. Trying to get work done with bad tools is just the worst. I ordered the black ones because it’s easier for me to see the numbers. The surface behind the numbers is a matte finish, not shiny, so glare isn’t a problem. I received mine in late January, 2026. I saw conflicting information in some of the earlier reviews about the display of fractional numbers. Some people reported that all fractions were displayed in terms of 128th of an inch. That is not the case with the calipers I received (again, the black ones). These reduce the fractions to their simplest terms, so 1/4 inch is displayed as 1/4 inch, not 32/128ths. They came with one battery installed, plus two spare batteries. Also included was a tiny screwdriver for opening the battery compartment. Very thoughtful. You probably already know this, but these batteries are terribly dangerous (potentially lethal) if a child or pet were to swallow one. Please be careful to keep the batteries in a safe place. I can’t comment on the longevity, as I only just received them, but I expect with reasonable care they should last many years.

Love this thing. it's built heavy and works well

Avoid. Bought this one thinking it was a well-needed upgrade to my cheap one. Stopped working under 6 months of careful regular use. Same display-crazy problem as everyone else. UPDATE: I did a proper cleaning of the insides after taking it completely apart and no change in the problem. UPDATE: After attempting to fix it for a couple hours, I discovered that temporarily removing the battery and putting it back in made the caliper work perfectly from -10mm to 10mm. If it goes outside those bounds it goes crazy again and the battery must be removed and replaced to reset. This makes me think the sensor still has integrity, but something is preventing it from working outside those bounds. I doubt the problem is battery related. 1 of 5 stars, 1 star for being fun to take apart, 0 stars for the product.
