CAT IN THE HAT: CHRISTMAS SPECIAL

This movie is a great movie for a movie night basket for the kids... My kiddos watch this over and over again!!

We love the Cat in the Hat around here.Martin Short is great, as usual, in this special. He's the perfect choice for the Cat: just verging on crazy, but mostly fun and sweet.The songs are catchy (at least, we're still singing them) and pretty well-written. The animal characters are fun and the plot is fine for a three or four-year-old to follow.My one complaint would be that this dvd, including all of the adverts for the Gruffalo, etc., play on repeat forever and ever once you press play. It doesn't just play through everything once and then return to menu; it loops back and plays it all again. And quickly, too. You might have to race for the remote to shut it off as soon as the credits roll if your kid thinks that means the movie's not over. Not that I speak from personal experience or anything.

Adding to my 5 year old grandsons DVD collection. i prefer digital, but he just loves holding the box, looking at it, opening it so i got it for him.

I bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas. As always, she loves Dr. Seuss' books. I enjoy finding "new ones" that came out since my children were young.

This is just as good as the other Cat in the Hat shows. It's entertaining and educational. The kids find it very fun and ask to watch it over and over... but I keep it set in the Christmas DVDs so it makes it a special show. They still get to watch it every now and then when they find it, though. ;) I like the fact that the cat is not mischievous but instead teaches the children in the show. It helps that the characters are fun so my kids actually want to learn from them!

Watching it right now because my 4yo daughter requested to watch it out of all the other Christmas specials I've got for her. So I guess that makes it a winner!

Dvd didn't work, had a very disappointed little boy when he opened his xmas eve box. Emailed twice with no response back. Only £4 but not the point
