Worked great to help repair a cut on my dog's ear
The gel is thick. I smoothed on a thin layer and reapplied daily. It seemed to help the edges fill in and get the wound to heal. It worked really well for my dog. Of course, doesn't replace taking your pet to the vet, but for small simple wounds, it helped.

Highly recommend
UPDATE 2023: This stuff is still a must have for pet owners. I carry a tube in my first aid kit on all dog walks and yesterday I put it to good use. A neighbour’s pup ripped her nail right out of the quick on our hike in the woods. The tube I had was from 2017 so I couldn’t get it to come out the end because it was dried hard but I used a knife to cut the other end and it was still usable. I got a big glob on her nail bed and immediately the blood stopped gushing. I’m just in the process of ordering a fresh tube which has unfortunately doubled in price but what can you do!(Original review)We bought this gel after dealing with what felt like a never ending wound on our lab pup's nose. I put a glob on my finger and swiped it on. It protected the area and when it started to flake ff, you just put more right on tip, no need to get the old off. Now I carry it in case of emergencies. I gave our neighbour a tube for her dog's cut paw and within a couple days the dog was running again.

Very effective for treating superficial wounds, albeit a tad pricey
I liked its effectiveness in rapid wound healing, but pricey. However, you only need very small amounts.

The disappearing hotspot!
Whoa! It's only been 24 hours since I've used this product so I'll have to update my review after future treatments. So far, it's working WONDERS! I applied it to my Golden Retriever's half-dollar sized hot spot on her head and it changed overnight from a weeping, inflamed wound on the verge of infection to an almost skin colored patch that's barely noticeable. This poor pup, rescued from an unscrupulous breeder, has had 5 years of bad allergies and wicked, quickly spreading hot spots. I'm quite the pro at treating them now; even when they're located early, I can still see the surrounding skin start to redden and become threatening. At times I've had to resort to steroid shots and antibiotics to control hot spots. This product really wow'ed me. It does have a medicinal odor, is sticky, and can get messy easily; it reminds me of honey. I was skeptical. But it did seal the wound, as it claimed it would, and I kept the pup away from touching it. The Gel appears to have done everything it promised - protect the wound, seal nerve endings to reduce pain and itching, stop bleeding, absorb wound fluids, soothe, promote rapid healing...exactly what the pup desperately needed. After washing and drying her hot spot and then applying the gel, she completely left it alone; this assured me she was comfortable. I wish I had taken a "before" picture to show the comparison. It's remarkable. Today's result is what I'd normally see after a full week of treatment. I'm so impressed and relieved for my dog. I can only hope all future hot spots heal as quickly, and that you'll have equal results!
