Beautiful colour
This is such a wonderful colour to bring warmth and a glow to your watercolour paintings. It’s truly a colour that can be used in all seasons for truly rich colour. I love washes with it sunsets autumn 🍂 colour landscapes.

Why do I love Daniel Smith?
Daniel Smith watercolours are marvellous - clear bright and strong , and Q. Gold is my favourite of them all. It is brilliant for mixing lots of lovely colours, or providing a range of lovely colours from pale golden yellow to a rich golden brown if used on its own.

Easily the Highest Quality Professional Watercolors I've Ever Used
I enjoy doing a lot of sketching, sculpting, and painting, and I have quite a sizable collection of watercolors and gouache laying around. In particular, I enjoy doing a lot of work with vibrant colors, and I have a growing love for Daniel Smith watercolors and their wide and diverse range of colors.The attached phoenix painting was painted exclusively with Daniel Smith watercolors (with a dabble of copper acrylic for the eye).The colors are rich and luxurious and mixed well, allowing me to form a wide variety of vibrant hues with ease. Daniel Smith and M. Graham are the watercolor paints I use exclusively. I've tried other brands, but none of them match up to these two in quality of color and reliability. I've been a professional watercolorist for years, and teach workshops. I always insist that my students purchase only those two brands for the work that I teach.
