Easy Life Easystart, 500 ml

I've always used JBL Denitrol for adding beneficial bacteria into my 300l tank. JBL charge £20.00 (on Amazon) for 250ml and it's quickly used after water changes and general upkeep of the tank cycle. I decided to give this product a go after looking at their site and reading positive forum reviews. For starters, it's £15.99 for a !000ml bottle. That's x4 times better value which probably most persuaded me to try. I've now had it for 6 weeks (quarter left as I like to be generous with the BB) and my PH levels have been as they were. So, no real difference from what I tell against JBL's product. Due to the outcome, it led me to read more reviews on Easy-Life's range of products. I took the plunge with the mineral based (no active bacteria) filter medium. This stuff is also really good. I'd probably go as far as to say it was fantastic. 24 hours after using, my fish are visibly more active and playful. I would suggest having a look at Filter Medium reviews and trying out a bottle. Due to now being really impressed by 2 of their products, I've ordered the 5l water conditioner. It's £50 on here (+£8p&p) but I'll use it over the course of a year and on all products, have a healthier tank with really clear water (I've tried the AquaBombs and although they work, think filter medium has far more benefits) and quite a considerable cost saving. All I'd say id try it, it's worked wonders for me. I'm not sure if it's reacting well to my area's water (North West England) but can only think it would have the same effect when used with the other Easy-Life product. I hope this helps. Seems to work. I have used it to add beneficial bacteria to a new marine tank. After filling the tank and adding dry rock there was a definite whiff of stagnation, one dose of this product immediately sorted that problem. Water smells sweet and I’m sure the bacteria are making a home for themselves in the rock. So far so good. I’ve certainly no reason to doubt the efficacy of the product.

Good value for money, much cheaper than big brands, clouds the water in first but after few hours water become clear and fish looking happy

Works really well in initially setting up your aquarium, and in supporting bacterial growth again once you have cleaned your filters. Using this has ensured that I have had no ammonia spikes after filter maintenance

Da mein Meerwasserbecken nur aus Real Rock und Todgestein aufgebaut ist, muessen nitrifizierende Bakterien permanent dosiert werden. Nach Erfahrungen mit einigen anderen Praeparaten, ist dieses hier das effektivste. Die Konzentration an Bakterien sowie die Menge der moeglichen Dosierung (ich dosiere bei hoeheren NH4 und NO2 Werten auch mal die doppelte Dosis) fuehren zu einer schnellen Reduktion der giftigen Substanzen. Dennoch sollte man im Auge behalten: Auf organischen Substanzen (also insb. im Suesswasser zB Wurzeln) koennen sich starke und unschoene Bakterienablagerungen bilden. Ebenso kann sich schnell eine mehr oder weniger starke Bakterienbluete einstellen. Beides hat aber nur dann Auswirkungen, wenn zu wenig Sauerstoff im Becken ist (auch die Bakterien benoetigen ihn fuer die Oxidation - wie der Name schon sagt). Daher sollte fuer ausreichend Wasserbewegung (evtl. auch Luftpumpe) gesorgt werden. Diese kosmetischen Nebenerscheinungen verschwinden, sobald man die Dosierung wieder einstellt und die Giftstoffe auf ein akzeptables Niveau gesunken sind. Bis dahin ist der Einsatz von UV Lampen hoechst kontraproduktiv! Bei hohen Bakterienkonzentrationen im Becken auch auf den pH Wert achten und fuer einen ausreichenden Puffer (Haerte) sorgen. Wichtig: Vor der Dosierung gut schuetteln! Ich kann diesen Bakterienzusatz sehr empfehlen, da er eben schnell das tut, wozu er gedacht ist. Auch preislich ist das vollkommen i.O. da er so hochkonzentriert ist. Er sollte kuehl gelagert werden, dass verlaengert die Aktitivtaetszeit der Bakterien. Cheers, D
