Lovely tasting coffee
This has a really lovely flavour and although it's quite expensive, it's Blue Mountain! Definitely worth the extra as a treat. This is the third time I've bought it; this particular time it's not for me, it will be a Christmas present. Arrived exactly the day it was expected.

Delicious but needs re-grinding to a finer degree for espresso machines or Italian stove top cafetieres
This is great coffee: it has depth and length, with after tones of chocolate and orange. An excellent Blue Mountain. However note that the grind is 'Medium' (not just the roast). This means that it is fine for cafetiere or filter, but not fine enough for espresso machines (or Italian stove coffee pots). If you use it as it is with such a machine you'll get an inferior, weak brew. You need to grind it again to a finer grain (the equivalent to 3/4 on a professional coffee grinder): it must feel almost (but not quite) powdery between your fingers, a little like caster sugar. Then you can enjoy a splendid espresso!PS: I don't have a dedicated coffee grinder (if I did I would buy the whole bean version!) but I find that my Kenwood blender attachment works very well.

Over expensive.
Lovely coffee but you are paying too much for a hessian bag that gets thrown away.

Blue Mountain memories
Over the years I've forgotten what real Blue Mountain coffee tastes like. It's a smoother, softer taste than what I've become accustomed to, but still has that unique taste of the Island. I've made it up several ways, Mokka, cafetiere and expresso. Making it according to the instructions makes for a nice cup if coffee and the Mokka the best brew for me. An expensive drink but considering how much you pay for an average brew on the high street it's not as bad as you might think. 4 months left on the pack for best before date. All seals and vacuum pack and a nice hessian outer pack all perfect. A lot cheaper than buying in town.

Smooth, add sugar and it starts to taste like chocolate
Bought a bag and told my parents who then wanted to try it. Forgit to bring it home from work so I just bought another bag since it’s worth having one for each location

Over priced anti-climax
I love coffee and enjoy trying different beans from different regions in different countries, trying to learn what I like and what I don't like. I'd never tried blue mountain coffee before because of it's price until it was bought for me by my husband as a birthday present. I was thrilled when I opened it and couldn't wait to try it. And try it I did, in espresso form from my machine and then separately from the percolator, cafetiere, filter, americano... basically I put it through its paces, because each time I took a sip I was left thinking "Is that it?"I tried different ratios of coffee and water, different water temperatures, different water running times (from the espresso machine), different brewing times with the cafetiere. It got ridiculous. And it shouldn't be this difficult to get a good cup of coffee from this particular bean, but then I'm not expecting good when the coffee costs this much (it wasn't even good). You don't spend this amount of money on coffee for 'good', you spend it for 'blow-your-mind-amazing-where-have-you-been-all-my-life'; no more, no less.I am so disappointed with this coffee. I wish my husband had instead bought five of the delicious grumpy mule brand or other similarly priced coffee that is more than 'good' and definitely a treat. Poor man, I'm not sure that I have it in my heart to tell him what a let down this carefully chosen present was except that I wouldn't want him to repeat the mistake. And I wouldn't want you to do it either.
