MKS pedals Sylvan Touring, silver, 2 pieces

Bought these for my new touring bike as the pedals were so well reviewed and recommended. The quality is apparent right from the box. The bearings did not need adjustment, unlike other pedals I've bought recently. They turn very smoothly. I've done 100km so far, paired with a set of toe clips. These pedals are designed with servicing and adjustment in mind, so I'm not worried. Other reviewers said that once you've tried quality pedals, you wont go back. They're probably right. I'll be buying MKS pedals from now on.One thing to be aware of is that these pedals are designed with a wide body to give more foot positions, comfort and footwear choices while touring. This wide body will cause the pedal to ground on sharp turns. There are other MKS Sylvan pedals that are practically identical, but without the wide body, if your riding style/discipline includes a lot of sharp turns.

Considering the abuse pedals get home maintenence is essential these pedals make that job easy, the quality of manufacture was clearly evident as soon as the box was opened and I am delighted with the purchase, well done MKS

I bought these to replace my old plastic pedals that could be slippery in the rain. I saw these on a YouTube video and saw a few good reviews online.I didn’t want clip on pedals of seeing friends topple over at traffic lights.I found that these grip my cycling shoes or training shoes brilliantly and not once have my feet slipped off.They also look good on my old Raleigh Pioneer!

These were worth the purchase, they are a simple classic looking pair for my vintage Peugeot bike, the bearing however, are not as smooth/frictionless as say a more expensive pair but that was to be expected when buying them.

look, they are not built to be super light. these are built to be serviceable, and to last forever. no plastic involved. a great way to spend your money once, and that is it.

Good size pedal for those who like classical style product…I use them for commuting.

MKS have been producing high quality pedals for years and these are no exception. Robust, solidly built and most important, owner serviceable. The Sylvan Tour have excellent grip especially if you're using a variety of footwear for cycling.
