ingramLeather Shaving Cream Tube 100ml

While this shave cream certainly smells the same and looks the same as the Ingram's shave cream of a few years ago it lathers nothing like it. The tube I received was in its box and not damaged, and with no visible signs of any problems. How ever on a test lather in the hand, I was unable to get the slightest of lathers, not even a few bubbles. I tried Badger brushes, synthetic brushes and boar brushes. Each brush failed to help produce a lather. Again different amounts of water both hot and cold were used as were a face lather and bowl lather technique's used. Various amounts of cream were also used but as before no lather was produced. In all this is NOT a cream to use with a brush in the traditional way, as per the carton instructions. As a life long wet shaver I have been very, very disappointed. So much so I've also written to the manufacturer. This cream may work as a brushless cream with a cartridge razor for the more modern shaver but for this old fella its a no go. In the bin it goes. ☹️

I saw this product after my Dad passed away. He used it all his life so I have fond memories of it and I thought I’d buy some, after a break of some years. Just had a shave with it and I found it very good. I’ve read the reviews but I found it exactly as it always was in scent and effect. It gave me a really close shave. It’s easy to look back and say something isn’t the same but I’d rather have this than see it disappear. Possibly it doesn’t foam in the same way but I don’t need that, in any case. The menthol remains and leaves you feeling fresh. The consistency is good and allows the razor to do its job. I’ll buy this again and may stock up, in case it disappears. Price is ok for me, too.

I have used Ingram shaving cream for more than 40 years, and my father before me, but the current product is absolute rubbish. I wish I had believed the previous negative reviews before ordering 4 tubes of this. It doesn't lather so you might as well try to shave with toothpaste.This is not the same product that has been sold down through the years, so do not buy this. I am returning it to Amazon for (I hope) a refund.Seriously, it is completely useless - I am very disappointed. If I could give it a negative rating, I certainly would.Like one of the other reviewers, I have contacted the manufacturers to complain, but the personal e-mails bounced back and I got no response from the customer service e-mail.I contacted Amazon about returning it and I am waiting for a refund.Do not waste your money on this product.

I have used this product all my adult life. I always get a smooth and comfortable shave.

Product seemed to be out of production for a few years . This version does not foam up - but it really works .

Absolutely awful. I don't know what happened, but it used to be my favourite. Half a tube and still no lather... shocking

Nothing to dislike, I'm pleased to be getting a good shave again. Good to have ingram back.
