Amazing Maintenance Free design.
Ordered from Amazon Friday evening, received the following Sunday morning. Excellent service from the two delivery guys who man handled the two(very heavy)boxes through to my back garden. With much help of a neighbour we unpacked each box to check that all the components were there. The components were all clearly numbered to help with following the build instructions. At that point my neighbour asked if he could help with the assembly. I did not refuse and in truth I ended up assisting him. Building is pretty straight forward as everything lines up perfectly, but it is very important to follow the instructions in the sequence shown. I must stress that the assembly is best carried out by two people, some of the larger component are very light weight and would be difficult for a single person to handle even in a light breeze. With just a couple of breaks for refreshments, we were able to complete the build by 7:30 on that Sunday evening. Although some of the components appear flimsy when first unpacked, they become stronger as the build progresses into units. This is due to the clever design and precise manufacture. I suppose some would say a timber built shed would be more aesthetically pleasing, but the timber shed that this one's replaced had cost much to maintain. The maintenance free outdoor Keter storage box I bought some years ago has proved to be just that; maintenance free. I am confident that this Keter shed will prove to be the same, but will of course let you know if proved wrong. Quite chuffed with it, hence the picture.

GREAT QUALITY, EASY TO BUILD, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
The lockable Keter shed is fabulous. I looked at a lot of reviews of sheds of different kinds to replace two old wooden sheds in our garden which were falling to pieces. The shed came flat-packed in two large cardboard boxes. One corner had been damaged in transit, leading to three items needing to be replaced. I emailed the Keter customer service with photographs of the damage, and a very helpful lady called Linda kindly arranged for the three items to be replaced by courier within two days. Following completion of the shed, I packaged the damaged items up and she arranged for a courier to pick these up within two days as well (no charge to me in either case). I constructed a wooden base to raise the floor up from the new flagstones which we were having laid, but the floor of the shed can be placed directly onto a flat surface if drainage is not a problem. The manual supplied is detailed and concise (similar to one of the IKEA manuals). Each item is put up in turn and fixed using the screws and plastic bolts provided. Bolts are easily tightened manually, but I used a pair of pliers to give them an extra turn as I have arthritis in my thumbs. Two of us constructed the shed (myself and my wife), and did not have any problems fitting either the walls or the roof, which all slot into place after aligning with each other. As the construction is of pre-formed plastic, a couple of the wall sections had a slight bend in them, but this was twisted out easily and forms a tight fit once secured in place with the bolts. Final strengthening comes from self-tapping screws which secure all the panels vertically to the upright spines from the inside. The shed is fitted with one window (well-fitted and does not leak), and also two plastic shelves, easily fitted and appear firm. I've checked inside after two recent downpours and there is not a sign of water inside the shed at all. All in all we are well-pleased with our purchase, which looks great, and cannot fault the customer service we received from Linda at Keter. Would strongly recommend this item.

Good shed, and entirely one-man assembly is possible
I would like to mention points missed in many other reviews which people still may be interested about: Officially this shed requires two man assembly - since roof fixing require holding it from the top while driving screws in from the bottom. However *it is* possible to assemble it without second person, and I can testify from my experience assembling it entirely by myself. I have used adjustable clamps like these to temporarily hold roof in place while screwing from inside. I have used tape measure to determine where screw goes from inside, then go outside, fix two clamps for two screws, go inside, drive screws, repeat until all roof is fixed. It takes quite more time than with second person, but not hard to do. Also I should mention that even with second person clamps will help a lot - because its really hard to hold bits down while massive screws being driven from below - there are no pre-drilled holes and screw will lift the roof sheets unless applying very firm pressure from above. Packaging is not 100% perfect. Some bits apply pressure on other bits inside package. Which on the long term storage dents/bends/deforms the pieces. E.g. on unpacking my skylight piece had three bad dents on it where another panel laid on it. (esp. if they stack boxes on top in the warehouse). Some other pieces were deformed by pressure inside package too - and hence didn't fit/align perfectly as they should. I have used heat gun with 190C temperature to soften the plastic and straighten it - otherwise it would have been sloppy and difficult fit. A lot of flash on parts also makes assembly more difficult than it should. I recommend checking all parts and removing all flash with sharp Stanley knife before you fit them together. Manual says "usual household tools are sufficient for assembly". However this is true only if you consider angle screwdriver/angle driver an "usual household tool". Because without angle driver you will have hell of a time trying to drive some screws which have a beam below (look photo) - barely enough space to place screw, and no space for screwdriver at all (and they have to be driven more or less straight). Also note while good torque electric screwdriver/power drill is not strictly required, its pretty much essential - because you will have to drive a lot (~100) of various screws, many without pre-drilled holes. You certainly want a firm level base under the shed, and not just for easy of assembly. It has own floor, but the floor is not very rigid (is the same plastic). If there will be soft under-base, this will bend/dent/pit your shed floor if placing anything heavy on it - because it will sag. On the long run this will probably damage the panels and may compromise joints with wall panels (because they rely on floor panels not trying to move or sag). Assembled empty shed weight is about 50-70kg, and its actually possible to move it on your own by pushing on corners near ground - at least as long as you have moderately smooth level surface under, like paving or concrete. This makes it convenient because you can assemble it having where there is space around (because you will *need* space all around, at least to place a stepladder). Then you can push assembled shed right next to walls/obstacles. I did it just by myself. But take note that exactly because its not very heavy, it pretty much *requires* anchoring to the ground - otherwise strong wind *can* shift it or flip it over (since walls have a lot of sail area against wind). Trust me, you don't want that. Yet another reason you probably want solid base under - to anchor the shed to this base. I would also like to comment on (lack of) security. Certainly, this shed is easy for the thief to get in. However, I am not aware of any wooden shed either which couldn't be easily broken in by using simple pry-bar. In my opinion, trying to make a "shed which very hard to break in" is fruitless, that's why its *shed* and will never have structural integrity for that (not unless you build it like a building). If you are concerned about security - just buy an alarm in addition, for example like this wireless motion sensor , they are relatively inexpensive. This will actually give you real protection. Even with some criticism above I'd say this shed is pretty good, esp. for the price and I would certainly recommend it. It beats wooden shed on almost every point - the only downside that its less strong than (reasonably thick) wood. However, if you are competent DIYer its not that hard to add extra reinforcement/bracing inside - still will cost you fraction of wooden shed, and with no worries with wood moving/rotting/swelling or felt deteriorating, etc.
