This roll of carpet covering was perfect for what I needed! My cats tore up some carpet when we first moved in to my apartment and I needed something that I could cut to size and this was perfect. The material is durable and thick enough to not stay in place. A plus is that is looks okay and is smooth on our feet while performing well. Overall great product, definitely recommend if you’re in a similar situation.

I love this so much! It is perfect for what I needed it for. My cat was scratching the carpet away in front of my front door. I've used multiple things and nothing worked until this! I did use some books to flatten the size I needed out for about an hour or so and it has stayed flat since then. It wasn't too hard to cut and I liked knowing that I could make sure it was the correct size for what I needed. My cat hasn't been able to get it up or move it in anyway and she has definitely tried. I do have longer carpet so that might help some but it hasn't budged at all. Even with the door sliding over it and people walking on it. As a bonus it's also protected where people typically step first on my carpet. I do have to mention it is the slick plastic but I don't mind because then my cat can't claw at it and ruin it. Overall, I'm very happy and it has definitely saved my carpet and my sanity over trying to get my cat to stop.

Smelled heavily of plastic chemicals when it arrived, which is why I give it a 4/5 stars. I put it in the intended room and aired out (door closed, window open during winter) for several days before it stopped smelling, but it did eventually. It does what is expected though so not a bad buy.

I recently purchased new furniture and I was trying to not let my dogs get on it. I heard someone mention they had use it turned upside down on theirs to keep their animals off. It has helped me with mine. It keeps it not getting paws prints and fur on it. I would recommend it. I bought different lengths in it.

We bought this to cut into smaller strips to cover the edges of our carpet because we rent. In every apartment we’ve lived in we have an issue with the carpet pulling up from the carpet strip and fraying. In our new apartment we were hoping to avoid this by putting some strips of this stuff along the edges. In theory this would be perfect, but this material does not weigh enough to really sink into the carpet and stay in place. Unfortunately, this makes it somewhat useless as every time we step on it, it moves. It’s possible the strips we cut are too narrow, but usually I feel like this material is a bit heavier as people use it under desk chairs on carpet and it doesn’t usually slide around. Perhaps it was user error, but I’m a little bummed for how expensive it was.

I've used two different products for the same purpose. One was an office chair clear carpet mat that looks exactly like this product, and recenyly this product for a new pet. The office chair one, was thicker and thus lasted many years with countless foot traffic and two cats. This product is thinner, which makes it easier to cut, but also easier to potentially kick up or damage over time. We'll see how it lasts! If you've got the money though, opt for the office mat and cut it to size.

I bought this to stop my cats from destroying the carpet under the door. You can see where it's been ripped up in the picture, right at the corner.I put the roll in a 5 gallon bucket of the hottest tap water for about 30 seconds, and was able to lay it out perfectly flat on a tile floor. It seems sturdy enough to deter cats and handle foot traffic while also being soft enough to cut with utility scissors. You couldn't roll a chair on it, if that gives you an idea of how rigid it is. It'd buckle.I think it'll work, and is a great value for the price.

Keeps the cats from scratching the carpet in the doorways which is super helpful. Works well and I highly recommend to save your carpet! Just cut it to fit your door.
