You can't help but love the Bean character and how selfless he is most of the time. Everyone thinks Ender is the one that saved mankind but if it wasn't people like Bean who assisted him, I don't think he would have succeeded.

What can you say. The Ender's Game series was absolutely wonderful, and this Ender's Shadow series offers a new perspective into the crazy world of politics, xenophobia, and the Buggers. The perspective of the world from Bean's point of view is awfully stimulating. To see the world from the perspective of a hyper intelligent child is something both enticing and scarily analytical. Anyone who had a precocious mind, or was simply brighter than everyone of there peers will enjoy this series very much. Bean will carry you through the ups and downs of being brilliant, and the necessary tactics that he employs to survive. I would recommend that you stop reading any of the reviews and just buy the book yourselves. No one can tell you how good a book is until you have actually read it yourself. Don't let the people who hated the book influence your own opinion. Because at the end of the day, that is all that matters. It is what you ultimately think about it, and everyone should decide for themselves and not bend to the pressures of other people. Enjoy!

The author really creates an immersive world and it’s hard to put down these books.

I have enjoyed everything about the Ender's Game saga. The books were priced right and shipped well. not alot of pakaging but they were shrink wrapped and sealed tight so that helped.

I aboslutely loved this set. Great individual stories that stand on their own merit and intregue while also being addiitive to the original Enders Game. Loved seeing the different persepctive and thinking about how I felt while in the corresponding 'scene' from Enders' pov.Everyone who enjoyed Enders Game will enjoy this one!

I've read almost everything by OSC and find him a remarkable storyteller. He is without a doubt my favorite author and I look forward to every new release.The Shadow series is in some ways better than the Ender's Game series as it seemed more accessible to me. I found myself more able to become submerged in the story. I don't mean to take away from the Ender's Game series as without Ender, there is no Bean. It may be the ruthless decisiveness of Bean that drew me in so easily, but draw me in it did and left me wanting the next release to be as soon as possible!Another in a long line of excellent books from Orson Scott Card.

I loved this series. I originally was drawn to reading it by first reading the Ender series. The original series is deeply philosophical and theological. This series still has hints of those themes, but it more interested in the political and emotional relationships of the characters. I tend to lean toward big ideas and thoughts which is why I prefer the original series, but I will say that this series is certainly more action packed and an easier read. Bean is a much more likable character than Ender was and fans of the original will tend to get the impression that the digression of Ender as god from Ender's game to Ender as flawed man in the other 3 original books is a far more seamless transition when viewing the original events from the eyes of Bean. The package was good at a cheap price. I prefer the words to be a bit bigger than they were, but still this is as much as one could expect for the price.

I lost my old books and found these and they are great quality and im glad i got them.

It is a great addition to anyone who loves the original series, the box set cover looks really good And the books size make them easy to store.

Gostei bastante dos livros, é em inglês (já que não foi lançado uma edição brasileira) e embora eu não goste de comprar livro paperback (capas finas, sem orelhas, páginas acizentadas) a história compensa e muito! O quarteto foca no Bean, contando a história dele desde o começo (antes do ender's game), como ele foi parar na escola de combate, como a vida dele cruzou com a dos outros alunos na terra depois da guerra, e como a história dele e do Peter (irmão do ender) se misturou.O primeiro livro se passa quase todo no mesmo tempo que "o jogo do exterminador", porém dessa vez na perspectiva do Bean, conseguimos ver como as outras crianças interagiam umas com as outras, como foi a batalha pela perspectiva delas etc.O segundo livro se passa depois da guerra, quando todas as crianças já estão na Terra, em seus países de origem e está meio que num impasse a situação de paz, porém quando as crianças que serviram junto com o ender começam a ser sequestradas tudo começa a mudar bem rápido!O terceiro e o quarto não dá pra falar muito deles sem dar muito spoiler, mas o quarto livro termina (cronologicamente falando) junto com "o jogo do exterminador" só que agora sabemos da história da terra que se passou nesse periodo!Todos os livros sao muito interessantes, assim como "o jogo do exterminador", passa bem rapido, e não fica cansativo de ler, esses livros expandem e muito o universo do Ender's game!Caso você tenha gostado do "o jogo do exterminador" e tenha ficado curioso com o que aconteceu com as outras crianças, o que aconteceu na terra depois da guerra, como o Peter chegou ao poder etc. eEu recomendo totalmente, você não vai se arrepender de ler esses livros!

These books are for readers who like thinking and reading about highly intelligent characters. The plots are interesting, the messages thoughtful, and the plot moves along trippingly. One can read these books quite quickly, so in tone they are light reading but on content are really quite serious. It's a good balance, and they are very enjoyable to spend hours with.

Les livres sont en bon état mais l'emballage carton "the ender's shadow series" des 4 livres est très abîmé! Cela ne me dérange pas mais pourrait freiner l'achat d'autres pour qui cela est important...
