Fantastic story
I absolutely adore this story.I first read this with my daughter not long after my dad had suddenly passed away. We renewed it numerous times from the library and it gave us such a great comfort at the time. This story tells the story of a little girl, things and people that her are precious to her. It has the classic rhythm of a Julia Donaldson story. It is comforting, reassuring and beautiful 😍There are so many activities that you can do to explore the story theme and content. This book is a real gift 💝

Helped to talk about loss with 5 year old
Bought this for my 5 year old niece after my mum / her granny died. There's a page with beautiful artwork of what's in the girls mind. Helped all of us discuss what's in our minds and memories we all have. A really sweet way of talking about loss in an age appropriate way.

Great story but damaged.
Loved the story however the pages at the top of the book are ripped and appear to have a dark line across. Some of the pages are still connected / stuck together. I think it is a manufacturing error. Would you like me to send some photos?

There is no doubt there is a sensitive touch to this clever story with a repeat rhyme element...
