SMALLRIG Cheese Plate with 1/4 and 3/8 Threads for DSLR Camera Rig - 1598

I used two to provide a secure mou ti g base for a camera missing one of its tripod connectors. A cheap solution to a major headache. These are cheap and a sensible size to extend a rig. Lightweight so don’t worry about it adding considerable weight to your kit. Provided with screws and a key. I’ve bought a few of these and will buy again. Recommend

Maybe Smallrig should fill in the holes. The cheddar was ok but the Stilton left a bit of a mess underneath. Apart from that it's a nice quality plate.

This little plate is excellent for building small rigs for camera mounts, or anything else that mounts on small bolts. Mine looked exactly like the product images - although check the sizes in the info because it is not a large thing. The 1/4" standard thread size holes in the plate mean you can attach any tripod, suction mount, or anything that uses a standard camera mount bolt to it. My kit also included a couple of bolts to mount into a camera body or tripod head or similar, and there are recessed holes in the plate to accept them. There are also a number of larger holes that take 3/8" bolts - the size used in larger tripod heads and the like. The plate is finished in an anodised black or black paint and so is not garish. What more can you say - this is a lump of well finished metal, which has many uses. It also happens to be compatible with the CAMVATE product range, as the hole spacing seems to me to be the same for the 1/4" threads.

I got this because its full of holes. This makes it light and instantly adaptable. I intend to use it as a battery platform not for a great big Arri battery but a small rechargeable power pack which could power the monitor which would put the weight at the bottom of the rig instead of having a clumsy weight on the monitor. It could also power the camera but you have to make sure the voltages are fairly compliant . You can also use it as a little extension platform for anything small and frequently used you can attach rubber clamps to it.

Bought this for my Lumix FZ300/330, it allows me to change batteries/sd card without removing the fitted screen extender. Also can fit an extra handgrip with extra screw kit I bought. Nicely made, all threads are a good fit, and general fit and finish are very good. Would recomend and buy again...

Plateau de très bonne qualité, très solide et super pratique. Je l'utilise pour décentrer le pas de vis de mon appareil bridge Nikon afin de pouvoir mettre un plateau de fixation rapide sans gêner la trappe de batterie.
