Colour run remover.
I washed a favourite Superdry hoodie that’s mainly black but has a white fluffy lining in the hood and white stitched writing and a white zip. I washed it on 30c with quite a few colour catchers and Dylon colour detergent. Clearly not enough colour catchers as the zip turned dark grey the writing slightly grey but worst of all was the furry hood lining which was a horrible grey. So this is what the instructions say to do. Soak the item for between 4 hours and overnight. As soon as I put it into the solution the water turned brown! I’ve put some colour catchers into the water in the hope they will catch the stray dye. I’ll update this review with the results. Watch this space!

Excellent colour run remover
I dyed 2 white shirts and a t-shirt pink. I opted to use the bucket method and as soon as the garments were in the solution I could see the colour disappearing. Very pleased with the end result. No trace of pink left.

fine knit jumper together with a new black coat
I washed a dark cotton mix, fine knit jumper together with a new black coat. The colur from the coat bled onto the white stripes on the jumper, making them pale blue. After using this in the washing machine the stripes are white again. There is a hint of blue still to it, that why I don't give full stars, but it's pretty good.

I was trying to remove pink from whites.. ...
I was trying to remove pink from whites.... it worked on some items of clothing but only when I used the Glo White product afterwards as well. However it didn't touch a few items... jeans, bra and knickers.

Worked for me
A new pair of blue briefs accidentally added to the weekly wash resulted in an expensive white duvet cover and two pillowcases being partially dyed blue. Dr Beckmann's Colour Run Remover has restored the original whiteness. My own difficulty concerned the sheer bulk of the duvet cover, as the product is really suited to small items. You mix a white powder with 6 litres of hot water and soak the affected item. I used a large bucket but I still had a problem trying to fully submerge the duvet cover in what is, after all, a relatively small volume of liquid solution. Following an overnight soak, traces of blue still remained, so I put the items in the washing machine and gave them a full-cycle wash, using another powder sachet instead of a detergent. This completed the job. The pack prescribes the washing machine treatment as an alternative to soaking but I doubt whether this alone would have been enough. Even if I had used both sachets to provide 12 litres of solution for the initial soak in a bigger container, bits of the duvet cover would still probably have been missed. So, for large items, I think two sachets to facilitate an overnight soak followed by a machine wash are needed.

Colour Run Remover
I’m a little disappointed that it hasn’t removed the stains on my top which were left by a darker colour. I’ve used both packets so that’s four sachets. The first two sachets, I soaked the top In a bowl for several hours as per instructions and it didn’t budge, the instructions said use another sachet which I did but used in the washing machine. Although the stain is a lot lighter, the top Is still ruined. I think if your item of clothing etc is stained in a lighter colour then this item might work. But unfortunately for my top it has not. I’m now looking for a coral colour dye to try and dye the top but am worried that the stains won’t be covered.
