I don't write reviews until I have tested the product at least 6 months to make sure there is product durability. This is an excellent razor that has worked perfectly on a heavy beard area daily growth for over 6 months. The battery is so much better that all of the competition I have tried and I get 3 weeks of shaving out of it. The foil also holds up well. Make sure you lightly press it to your face to avoid foil damage. The razor motor is powerful and the razor is easy to clean. I appreciate its compact but powerful profile. My comparison is Braun 3, 5, and 6 series and Norelco. This shaver is far superior, with a much better shave and battery life. Given all of this, the shaver has already shown that it is value for money. I have used Wahl products for many years, although their shavers 20 years ago were not as good, although in general their products are excellent. This shaver is a US assembled product of domestic and foreign parts.

I was mildly excited when the Wahl Pro Vanish series foil razor showed up today.I quickly trimmed down the growth I had for the past 10 days with my clippers before using it.While I clipped my hair, I had the razor on the charger, but I saw it had a charge from the time I took it out of it's package.It took me roughly 15 minutes to shave down the bit of hair I had on my head, but I was pleasantly surprised when I felt my dome with my hand.For a blind user, I find using the razor easy to use, easy to take apart and clean, and so far, it's the best results I've ever had outside of using a razor.My skin is sensative, so I was a bit skeptical of using any kind of eletrical razor as well.Now that I see the results, I will save quite a bit from going to the barber, as well as buying razors to shave my beard and mustache.My first impressions, it's an overall 5 star purchase, especially if you have sensative skin.Yes, I would definitely recommend the Wahl Vanish pro to others.

Works OK, just not a close shave. I is called a 'Finishing; shaver and Wahl could not offer blades or foils to change that!

I'm an electric shaver guy for my facial hair. The Wahl Vanish paired with the Andis T-Liner keeps me sharp. I adore the design, color, and feel of the shaver. The battery level indicator is a huge plus! I consider the Wahl Vanish a great investment for anyone with hair.

Shaves as close as a razor blade and takes less time

First off, Wahl has been a reliable brand, and the Vanish shaver I bought a year ago has been a wonderful product and an outright joy to use. In fact, the Vanish performed so well that I decided to purchase another, as a gift to someone.However, as mentioned in some of the other reviews, this product seems to be "bundled" nowadays with something none of us has asked for: human hair. In an effort to give this distributor the benefit of the doubt, I opted to return the contaminated, obviously used merchandise for a clean, brand-new replacement.Amazon was so generous they decided to deliver me another bundle of the Vanish and - you guessed it! - a SECOND set of human hair! What???This shady practice of reselling obviously soiled merchandise is something beneath the Wahl brand, especially when the word "Professional" is used to market the product. As I said, this is an amazing tool, and I will look elsewhere for a clean, brand-new one. I saw the reviews warning me before I made the purchase, and I still took the chance - silly me!
