I wasn't sure how to attach this to the doorway, but ended up just sticking it to the wall above the doorway and it has been great. My cat loves this hanging toy. The bell came off of it the first day, but that was fine. She still grabs the soft balls and there are more bells on it. I didn't think it would last long as it has become frayed on the main cord, but it is hanging on! My cat is normally quiet, but not when playing with this. She gets very vocal to the point I check on her. She gives it heck! She has a few places she likes to drag it to. She hangs on, screaming at it and then lets it go. I will be buying more of these.

Hanging from a double doorway into my sunroom, the mouse is about 18 inches off the floor and obviously in my cat's travel path. What happens at night with the toy is anybody's guess, but I dangle it sometimes about my cat, and eventually, the teasing evokes action. Well worth the purchase in my opinion.

The sticky tape that it came with was already covered in someone else's cats hair so I didn't use that part. Also, the elastic string that holds the mouse is not durable and my cats snapped it off within a few mins of use. They did have fun with it for about 5 mins so it was worth the price.

Things I liked about this toy:The mouse rattles, if your cats are into that.It's on a bungie cord so it flies up in the air when they pull on it, which delights my little kitties.It's reasonably priced.Things I did not like:Very cheaply made and kinda flimsy, so I don't think it will last that long.The wire hanger thingy has little black rubbery things on the ends (to prevent scratching the door frame, I assume), but they fall off immediately and become a choking hazard for kitties. Glue them on or remove them and use tape on the ends instead.The wire hanger thingy didn't fit on my door frame all the way. I still make it work, but it falls off if my cats pull on it too hard, so measure the door frame and make sure it will fit.All in all, it's a fun little toy for them to play with, even if it doesn't last that long. But it also seems like you could easily DIY it with stuff lying around the house.

My cat loves it. Simple, yet such fun for my cat
