Warm Audio Warmdrive - Amp-In-a-Box Overdrive Pedal

Great drive pedal that nicely fattens up you sound. Not for metal but a great rock or country rock application. Certainly can’t go wrong with this pedal!

I ended up returning this simply because it wasn't practical, not because it didn't sound awesome. This is an amazing pedal that I just can't describe. In front of a clean or slightly broken up amp it provides sustain and warmth without seeming to add a ton of gain. It's really unique and from the videos I've seen, it's nearly identical to the original which is ridiculously expensive. If you like Robben Ford's tone then give this pedal a go.

Let me start out by saying I’m a big fan of WARM Audio pedals. Have three now and plan on getting Mutation Phasor next. Anyway we all know it’s a clone of the ZenDrive which is supposed to sound like a Dumble amp. Being a mere mortal and having never been in a room with a Dumble amp let alone played one I can’t say as to the authenticity. I can however say this is a really great warm yet still articulate overdrive. Overdrive stays pretty mild. Even cranking it won’t make this pedal sound harsh. What I really like about this pedal is usually with overdrives you can get warm or punchy and articulate but not both. This pedal does both. I love the treble both before and after the gain idea. Turning up the tone will give you a more tight high end while turning up the voice gives you a softer high end…if that makes sense. I had my doubts whether this thing could replace the Xotic BB Preamp that’s been on my board for awhile. I knew immediately when I turned it on and started playing that this pedal is a keeper.

Tone is killer. It may be a knock off of the original but it's a damn good knock off.

OVERRATED. This thing should be $100 tops. Just get the Wampler Pantheon… it can do bluesbreaker, dumble, Klon, tweed, all of it for the same price.

Nice pedal and creates a wonderful array of depth and warmth.

I absolutely love this pedal - it's very versatile with it's distortion tone and I now use it in conjunction with a Electro Harmonix Crayon and it sounds fab.

I had tons of overdrive including TS 9dx, Golden Cello etc but this is now my no.1 OD. My MIJ tele sounds so warm and beautiful with WD
