Mr. Boston: Official Bartender's Guide

Bought this for my fiance to go with a number of things to make cocktails since we are stuck at home. Recipes are awesome and easy to follow. Definitely get this book for your home bar.

This is the 67th edition of a book first published over 70 years ago.There's a reason demand for this book has inspired its many updates and longevity - you won't find a finer book on drinks anywhere.An excellent collection of proven and time tested recipes - it also includes wonderful sections on bartending, techniques, and the proper tools.When you have this book at hand, there's little that you'll NOT be able to do behind the bar.Perhaps most impressively, it's written in a tone of respect and honor for the profession, passing along the very high standards of what a truly professional bartender needs to be.Highly recommended.

it was strange having to look up a drink by it's contents such vodka or gin etc.until i used the index which was ok except that it was out of order. example:i looked for cosmopoitan in the index. looked for c. found it on page 281; but it ended before c ended. looked further in the index found cosmo on page 283 after g..the pages went from 279-286 and back to ,284,281,282 and then 293,to the end (in order) 298

As a young adult I went into my first bar and in order to be "cool" I ordered a bottle of Schlitz Beer. The Bartender (I think she was new) asked the older Bartender a question. The older man pulled out a Mr. Bostons' Manual and the two of them proceeded to mix a drink that the set in front of ...... Me? I was hooked on Mr. Bostons Manual and the drink was good also "Between The Sheets"

I've been a bartender for 15+ years and this is by far the bible of all bartending books. Its a must have. I was very pleased that the condition of this book was in excellent condition and shipment was fast! If your a beginner bartender I would highly recommend owning this book, not only does this book offer great recipes but you will also get a little history lesson on the traditional drinks that every bartender should know how to make. For the professional bartender...we already that this book is a priceless addition to one's collection!

The bartender's guide is much more detailed than I expected.

We have an old Mr. Boston guide that I picked up at a garage sale. This version nicely updates our old version. The old version is great for classic cocktails. This version offers us some new mixes that have been fun to try. I love that the format is very similar in both versions.
