Magnificent, Horrifying, Beautiful and Shocking.
In part, some of this book is without a doubt shocking. Work that Goya had witnessed during wartime.If you have not seen any of his work you might find some of it disturbing even horrifying, but that is war.Drawings that were done as the awful horrors were being perpetrated. A far cry from Goya's paintings.As for the paintings, they are most enjoyable.A book that truly effects the viewer.
