Useful Hack * Updated Hack
Second update: I figured out cheaper light weight Xacto knifes don’t work very well. Like the pink one in my picture. The one that works perfect and super easy for me is my black rubber rolled Xacto knife. See picture. I think it has to do with the weight of the knife. The cheap pink one is super light weight vs the black one that works perfect has some weight to the handle. I tested this with my other cheap light weight Xacto knifes and found the same effect.Update: I figured out a new hack. I’m using an Xacto knife the to pull up used sheets. I follow the triangle design to the end where it comes to a pointed end on the side. I use my Xacto knife to gently slide under the triangle point to pull it just far enough to give me a tail to grab with my bare fingers. It works perfectly! I love these lint rollers so much. They’re so effective! So FYI it will take a few practice runs with the Xacto knife to get it down and figure out what angle works best so you only pull one sheet and avoid ripping a second sheet half way…but once you know the proper angle it’s so easy and takes a small flick of the wrist and viola! Also FYI if you pick up mass tons of dark hair/lint it can be hard to see the triangle design ie hard to find the end point to pull up. I have a black cat so I struggle with it. I try to use it til it’s half way full so still got some stickiness and could grab more but full enough with black hair that anymore and I’ll lose sight of the design. It may seem like a huge waste to use it only until half full…but take a second to consider how dirt cheap these are. Plus a standard lint roller like scotch will pick up less than 1/4 what this will. FYI this Xacto knife hack will eventually dull your blade and gum it up with reside. You can clean the reside off with rubbing alcohol and a q tip. I prefer to just toss the blade and replace it with a fresh blade. I have hundreds of spare blades though. They’re cheap enough I don’t mind tossing them for this considering how amazingly effective these lint rollers are and of course they’re dirt cheap!!!Original: People aren’t kidding these are hard to remove.BUT here’s my hack that worked. Take an Xacto knife and slice the length of the roll. Don’t put too much pressure down, just glide it along with the slightest bit of pressure. Pull up the chunk that you sliced through. Once you get farther into the roll it gets easier to pull up a sheet. These are the stickiest lint rollers I’ve ever seen! They’re amazing.Yes it sucks to have to cut a chunk of them off...but considering the price of these it’s still an amazing deal! And OMG they pick up hair like a magnet. These are the most effective lint rollers I’ve ever used.

Best Value for pet families!
We really love these lint rollers! We are a family of 3 all using these nearly daily. The rollers are perfectly sticky for removing cat hair from clothing. We have four cats - and one is a longhair breed. A pack with 4 refills lasted us 4 months! I just reordered with an extra roller to keep in the car. The design and usage takes just a little getting used to vs store bought type a - but if you can adapt to it, you might find it’s the best value lint rollers you’ve tried! I gave up trying to find an older “scotty dog” brand ;) that is no longer available; after switching to this there’s no need to look further.

I'll never use a "normal" lint roller again!
In EVERY way, this easily beats the black lint roller we're all used to!I worried these wouldn't work as well because the difference in price is so drastic, but if anything they seem to have a stronger adhesive which picks up more cat hair with fewer passes. In a head to head test, I rolled a 2 square foot corner of my bed with the scotch roller until I peeled to a new sheet which picked up nothing at all. Then I went over the same area with this inexpensive little guy, and it picked up an additional 19 strands of hair from our 4 cats!I say inexpensive because well... take a moment to compare. Look at what you pay for this set of 9 rolls PLUS roller, and consider how extreme the difference is when compared to the price of just 2 rolls without a roller for the scotch brand (or any other brand for that matter). It's a pretty big difference.I am bedridden with a genetic autoimmune disease which means I always have open wounds, so keeping my bed clean and sanitary is an absolute must. My son, however, installed a cat door so our "furbabies" can be free to explore the world.Unlike most people, I'm not trying to rid myself of cat hair simply for appearances' sake. It would put my health at risk if I didn't keep my bed clean of not only the cats' hair but also any dirt they tracked in from outside. I'm incredibly happy to say it has been several years since my damaged immune system last had any infection. The sheets of these lint rollers peel at an angle which creates a spiral. We're used to sheets overlapping so badly we waste fully half of each sheet for the entire 2nd half of a roll. The way these peel away in a spiral avoids that waste from overlap - so clever, yet so simple! The protective cover is great too. It's so simple it's hard to believe there's never been one conceived for the classic lint roller. It's nice being able to put it down without worrying it will stick to anything. The only thing I don't like about this lint roller is the barbie pink color, but luckily that's not something that really matters.I've now bought this twice and plan to keep buying it. With 4 felines and my health condition, a lint roller is a necessity. I would be very disappointed if this brand were ever discontinued!UPDATE 4/19/19: I've just ordered my 3rd set. Thank you so very much for keeping my health stable the last few years!!
