Garmin Li-ion Battery Pack

Previously I have bought alternative batteries for some of my toys Ahem electronic tools and in the end ended up paying more as they didn't do the job. This battery is the right one for the right gadget my GPS which I rely on when kayaking or boating on the sea, it's duration is what I expected as is the quality. DON'T skimp cheaper versions end up costing you more

This battery is compatible with a few Garmin devices, if you're looking for an extra battery for a Garmin Virb action camera this is the one to get. According to the Garmin site it's also compatible with the Montana 600, Montana 650, Montana 650t and Monterra although I've not checked that myself. There's not much else to say about the battery aside from it's a reasonable cost for a genuine battery from the manufacturer rather than the frequently ridiculous prices manufacturers charge for batteries. I've had no issues using it with a Virb Elite and performance is the same as the original battery as you'd expect.

First one wouldn't charge, returned and replaced no quibbles

Ordered as a back up for the original rechargeable battery. Allegedly a Garmin original which should be compatible with a Garmin 650 Montana. Arrived charged to 21% which charge could not be improved on over several hours. Tried to return for a replacement unsuccessfully. Was then asked to try for an alternative. Prefer a Garmin battery which holds charge and works. Do not want a sub standard alternative. Had to pay return postage, correction carriage charge, due to hazardous material.This allegedly will be refunded. Not a happy customer.

Pleased to find a recent manufacture date on this battery (and not one that's already 4 or 5 years old) and it performs better than my original (even when it was new) but remember in order to get the best 'run' time from these batteries you need to run them fully flat and then re-charge as soon as possible and preferably overnight to keep it at its best. Plus ignore the green light on your device saying its fully charged.... keep it charging for at least a couple of hours after the green light, as after reading many Garmin blogs, it appears some devices have in-accurate electronics which prematurely says its fully charged, hence the reason to ignore the green light and leave it charging overnight.

Mine still works after a good few years. I swap them out every couple of rides in order to charge.

First of all - the battery is fine. However - the reason I had to buy it was not fine. The Montana 650T battery was dead within 2 weeks of my getting the unit. It would not come back to life. many reported the same problem, but - in an uncharacteritic display of bureaucracy - Garmin were unwilling to accept my word for this, unless I had all of the documents. Sadly I was travelling and I could not find one of the originals. I asked GARMIN, but received a somewhat terse response. Hence I had to buy this - otherwise excellent - replacement battery. To be fair - the battery deserves more stars, but I feel miffed....

Identica a la que me venia de serie en mi garmin Vierb Elite.. la misma capacidad y tiempo de grabacion.. 3 horas con ella encendida y mas de 2 horas de material record..

Garmin original, works just fine

Ho avuto l'infausta idea, qualche anno fa, di orientarmi verso batterie compatibili, perché un pò più economiche di questa originale. Ho sbagliato: la carica non è affatto la stessa, durano meno, ed oggi, di tre compatibili comprate, due non si ricaricano nemmeno più. Questa originale invece, come le altre due acquistate insieme al GPS, continuano a mantenere tutta la loro carica, alcune anche a distanza di 5-6 anni ! Consiglio vivamente questa batteria, originale, anche se costa qualche euro in più.
