Great for the Price
I was surprised by the small size of the box these came in. They are well packaged and come with 2 x monitor earphones, 1 x stereo connector for DSLR and 1 x lapel microphone with spring clip for attaching to clothing. There is a small manual to explain how to operate etc. After unpacking I noticed that they seem to have a slight rubberised feel to both the transmitter and receiver and are matt black in appearance. The coating is probably to act as a non-slip surface. The size of both is just smaller than a standard packet of 20 cigarettes and and both very lightweight. To the rear of the transmitter is a strong plastic clip to enable you to attach the transmitter to back pocket of jeans, or pocket, or wherever, and it works well. The receiver has a plastic screw adaptor to fit the hot/cold shoe of a DSLR or camcorder. Both units take 2 x AAA batteries, and the battery compartment cover is one the rear and easy to open and close, and it closes with a solid 'click'. On the top of the unit is a push button + & - volume control which controls the output/monitor volume only. To the side of both units is the on / off switch, which also has a setting for bass cut to remove any low rumble. The switch has a firm operation, but is a little 'plasticky' to the feel.I fitted some rechargeable batteries (not included) and proceeded to test. I was very surprised by how sensitive the lapel microphone is. I was monitoring the transmitter output with decent quality in-ear isolating buds and the output range was excellent. My mate who was talking came through very clear with some good low notes to his voice and a crisp top end, and on the quiet passages when he wasn't speaking, the external background noise of passing traffic and birdsong also came through clearly. The low cut did a good job of removing the low rumble from a nearby pub kitchen extract exhaust, and also made a reasonable job of reducing distant traffic noise from a motorway. Both units have a green indicator LED which flashes every second or so when they are connected, and flashes very rapidly when not connected. One point to note is that I did detect a very low background interference type noise when used internally in a silent room. This was not a hiss as such, but more the changing sound of interference to the radio signal - again, this was in a silent room with the monitor volume turned on full. This was not really noticeable externally due to it being drowned out by other competing noise sources such as traffic, shouting children and aircraft. Maybe me being pedantic, but it would be nice if it wasn't there. I did compare this to my Rode videomic and the Rode had more of a top end hiss in a silent room than these Boya's did, but the Rode doesn't have the varying radio interference noise. In mitigation I was close to a wireless routers and DECT cordless phones so this could have affected the signal. There is no means of changing radio channels either, unless it can be done internally via a DIP switch - but I haven't opened the unit so cannot say if it is possible or not. If you wanted to use two of these mic transmitters you could have problems with the lack of channel selection. I would think if this radio noise caused an issue with a project it could be removed in post production by the gentle use of a noise gate plugin on the audio track. But just to re-iterate, not really noticeable and only at high monitor volumes when recording in a very quiet room and it certainly won't stop me using this bit of kit.The range on these is about 50m, although could be more on fully charged batteries though. The signal at this distance was clean and there was no noticeable deterioration in quality either. If you want to use a different mic with this be, be aware that the lapel mic as supplied is a TRRS type plug (similar to the Rode 'Smartlav' mic plug), and a simple tip/ring 3.5mm will not work with it.All in all, for the price, a good purchase. Certainly not Sennheiser, but for those on a budget who want the mobility that wireless lapel mics can provide I would recommend this. The only reason I don't give it five stars is the slight background radio interference noise - but that is probably me being picky really.EDIT: I use Premier Pro for post production and after editing a small project I have decided that the interference I noted earlier cannot be heard on narration. I used the standard denoising plugin, and added a touch of compression, and finally some EQ to lift the top end a touch and it seems fine. I'm running the audio through a studio amp, with active studio monitors and it seems reasonable.EDIT 2: This works well on iPhone if using a headphone / mic splitter cable and FiLMiC video app - useful for Social Media recording.

Excellent quality
Got these to video our wedding from a distance of 20 meters. Worked a treat and meant the camera was out of any wedding shots but superb quality sound.

Sadly can't say if it is any good as mine arrived broken. Return and refund went through brilliantly though I can't recommend this product.
